just came from mass general. dad was moved from critical icu to regular icu, he is doing better he can move his left arm and left leg. he is talking and sitting up and has his great sence of humor back. he is still haveing diffucult swallowing and he has a really bad head ach from when he fell and landed on it. and they think he might have lost all eye sight in his left eye, but all in all we are moving in the right dierction. i am very happy for all ur suport. u guys really don;t know how much you guys have helped me through this, its nice to know people care, and people who really don't even know me, i thank you from the bottom of my heart

Good to hear that he is doing better man....hopefully he gets full use of his left side back. Strokes are very difficult to judge, so hopefully it really didn't effect him as bad as was initially thought! Once again you and your fam are in my thoughts and prayers man.

My grandfather had 3 strokes and a heart attack and was still able to go home. He gained almost all of his mobility back quickly but before he was 100% he had another stroke and another heart attack.

A little bit of re-hab and it seems like he'll be back in action.

i am hoping joe the poor guy has been through hell and back several times , hes been through sevrel heart atacks, cancer, and has a pacemaker, and know this, so he has taken his share lets hope he is rewarded and that you for suport

thanks brad, joe is not really unhealthy he is just had some very bad luck, and yes its hearitary, he is 71 one and very good shape he goes to the gym three times a week and golfs almost everyday the doctors said that him being in the shape that he was was a good thing i mean you asked anyone that knows him he doesn't look 71 at all not even close to it.

ya true, if you have ever seen weekend at bernie's thats my dad, my fanily went on a cruise lile two years ago and they all thought it was bernie, he even got free drinks and signed autographs it was funny.

Turbo, my prayers are with you and your fam. I lost my dad last november 8th to a massive heart attack at 47, he was my best friend as well. I'm praying for your dad, and I hope everything goes as well as it can!

just came home from mass general. dad was moved back up to critiacal the swelling in his brain they say is very serius, they don't want it to swell and start to damage the good nerves and vessels in his brain. he is still talking hes a little confused but knows everything thats happening and still has his snappy one liners and the nurses say hes the biggest flirt to ever come into there care( which is a good thing because that means he has not changed) but i want to thank all of u for everything i had shown my mom this thread and she was a mazed at the amount of prayes and care that you guys give not even knowing him or me so thank you.
