yeah, i wondered that same thing... although its still in the 70's (forecast says it might get to low 80's this weekend), but people here are already breaking out their jackets and shivering when they stand outside at night!

it is starting to get down to the 40's/50's overnight, so maybe the ground stays too cold to get traction?
