Cool New Personal Best!

Raced at NED on Sunday. It was a perfect day 50's and sunny. Due to the wind though we had to stick to only running 1/8th mile runs.

Anyways from 10AM to 5PM I got only 3 runs in...
lets not talk about the 1st one. (the guy put me in the water box)

Run 2: ran a 7.7 @ 90.50, 1.75 60ft (off idle)
Run 3: ran a 7.66 @ 90.33, 1.725 60ft (1300 rpms)

The car was driving very strong in the good weather. This is a full weight A4, 10 bolt 3:23's and Nitto's. With spare, jack, floormats and everything still in it.

What do you guys think, did I scrape 11's? All the calculators I looked up put me their.

Thanks

by those times, id say you would have hit high 11s. I am not totally sure though.
Good 1/8 times though!!

I actually used that calculator this morning on my old time (over 90 degrees out) of 8.02 in the 1/8 and the 1/4 ended up being over .03 slower than it actually was, pretty close though. I noticed the calculator doesn't take speed into the calculation (atleast when I change it nothing happens).

A few tables to look at most put me in the 11's. These guys use the same table

http://www.eldiabloblanco.com/calculator.htm
http://www.pro-system.com/calc.html

If you look at comparable times, the below put my in the 11's as well

http://www.edgesz28.com/edgesZ28/et.htm

If I had to guess trap speed I would say a little over 112.

I know it's such a thin line, I wish they would of had the 1/4 open.

If it is any help, I ran a 8.142 @ 88.26 and it was a 12.48 @ 114.24. That was not shifting 4th either... I think you could be in the 11's

Nice 60's

Yeah I know. I'm bummed the season is over. Not only that but, it rained the last 3-4 weekends and now that they closed up it's going to be another perfect weekend.

The car felt really strong in the cold weather, I would of loved to see what it ran up top. I think if i would of got a couple more runs I could of bettered the 60", the track was hooking decent and I think it might of grabbed at almost 2 grand.

the calculator was near perfect for me. I ran 8.319 1/8 and 13.066 1/4. If i put 8.319 in the calculator it gives me 13.04 1/4. BUT, when i use the numbers of other, faster cars on my time slips, it is off by up to a few tenths. that's weird.

You're probably in the 11's but it's going to be close. 1/8th mile time x 1.55-1.58 pretty much does it for a conversion for whatever car unless you're spinning like mad. Taking the middle ground on this conversion gets you a 11.98 (7.66 x 1.565). This one is so close that I'd rather you go run a whole 1/4 mile but I'd bet that with your 1/8th mile time and MPH that you're going to run between an 11.95 and a 12.05. Unless your car totally falls on its face the last 1/8th I think you barely made it. Good run no matter.

You can guess, compare, use calculators, etc all you want but the truth is you won't know what it can do in the 1/4 until you get a full pass.

It's too bad the good weather is coming to an end.
