Imports, there everywhere i dont know if any of you have heard but TOYOTA is coming into NEXTEL CUP for 2007, they will be using a Camry...so as it stands dodge and chevy are the only 2 manufacturers using even kinda sporty cars, all stock cars are based on 2 door models yet Chevy is the only car (Monte Carlo) or i should say entry that is actually 2 doors, hell why dont we just let Mitsubishi and Subaru join NASCAR.
Why not? The Tundra p.u. is kicking *** in the Craftsman Truck Series, so why not let the all the foreign cars come into Nextel cup? Nascar doesn't care about american cars only being in the series--or the past history of American Nascar. All they care about is putting money in their own pockets, by filling the seats w/asses. I think Nascar is run like the circus, anyway. They change the rules from week to week, and play their little games catering to certain race teams and owners. It's becoming a very tacky, sideshow type of racing, IMO. I used to love it--no more. Although, I do enjoy the Daytona 500--Nascar's the only sport that runs their superbowl as the 1st race of the season--instead of the last. Kinda funny. WJ 
It really will matter when the stuff a 350 in it and make it just like all the other spec cars....
IMO nascar has sucked for my lifespan of 20 years I wish it was like late 60-70s rules.

They should definitely go back to racing cars as they appear in the showroom. That would be a lot more interesting and would (obviously) make for some nasty street cars straight from the factory.

how is this any less gay than a tube frame car with a FWD pos with a SS badge on it?
but +1 on putting the stock back in stock car. i honestly would like to see transam type deal come back as well. gto/charger/mustang's that were originally off the dealer street cars competing in some sort of motorsport.

hell i drove an street legal ls1 power magnacharged el camino last year with a freaking automatic transmission and got 8th in the points and rookie of the year. you wanna see street legal cars slamming around a track smoking the tires inches off each other give it a honest shot. its fun as hell to watch and 1000000x more fun to do from the drivers seat.

i still wish theyd go back to semi-streetcar racing. speedgt /speedworld challenge is about the closes thing right now, and its some good racing.

Classic!The only kind of racing I watch is the speedvision GT series.... They are as close as you can get to "stock" cars racing around a track... I love it and it's awsome to go watch live.... I've tried watching nascar... I end up watching the history channel.... it's honestly more exciting
