Jason i think you would be making a huge mistake making the WS6 into a full all out race car, add NOS,killer paint, maybe the set of wheels you want, and a few other little things and you will have the 10 sec car you want tgo to the pike or track and put foot to *** when need be...

ur gonna make the same mistake that everybody makes, and ur gonna hate ur car. i guaranttee that if u keep going the way ur going ur gonna be selling the car by the time i get back in a year and a half and hating urself. dont do it!!! i know now what i am gonna be doing with my car and its not going to be any of the options i made the poll on. and who knows maybe when i get back in 18 months i wont even want to do anything to the car. with a few more things done to this car as it sits i can get it to high 10s without a problem. would make one hell of a street car and i will still have a blast driving it.

I was thinking the same thing... if I'm making the power everyone thinks it is at this point... even with the stick and me driving it, adding shocks and a 150 hit would be enough to put it to 10.90, even at a 3700 race weight. If I go ahead with the tranny swap, and then add a 150 hit on top of that, mid 10's.. at least until #7 decides to give up LOL.

Thats the reason i dont want a th400, everyone says there streetable, but there just not. If i can get 10's out of my H/C combo and keep everything in the car the way it is for the most part, i'll be happy... maybe throw spray on it just to dip lower once or twice. But like you say a 10 sec car on the street is something most people cant touch

ur car is set up pretty much like mine is, except urs weighs 200 lbs less at least. i remember when we put u on the scales down at MIR and with u in it it was like 3450lbs i figure u do want i plan on doing, one of Ken's cams, hals with stock springs, and some minor suspension stuff and u should be right around 11.50s. throw 100 shot at it and bamn theres ur 10. ill do it once get my slip and run the car on motor and bracket race the bitch. ive decided why spend all this money on something and the only thing ill get back is a persistant pain in the *** and something i cannot drive on the street anymore. i want to be able to drive the car and enjoy it and not regret blowing all my money. i know a lot of guys that regret doing that and i WILL not be one of them.

erik i agree with you on seeing to many people go to far with their set ups and then regret it, jason your there man just add a small touch of NOS and the car will run 10s even with you driving it, if not do what i am gonna do when my new recipe is finished it will be something like yours and if i cant drive it to the 10s i will do the next best thing i will have "THEMAN" Richie drive it

damn tim ur set on those shitty tires arent ya LOL dude i still cant believe u cut a 1.69 60ft with those things. the best i ever got with nittos was like 1.79 or 1.8, i cant remember. those et streets i picked up from buttas nets me dead low 1.6s all the time. with that setup and a set of Hals all the way around they will kick ur *** off the track im gonna save the 2 grand i was gonna use for the heads and put it to appearance mods, lightweight hood and hatch, and dress the old girl up to the way ive wanted. think ill pick up a set of 17x10 or 18x10 c5 wheels to put some nice size rubber on for the street and then bug the **** out of jay til he sells me his bogarts when i get back. LOL

Chef, ya i know ken was telling me some horror stories on saturday and now i want my bracket racing car that is a monster on the street and runs dead 11.50s, and is reliable. nothing better than a fun car that can run a solid 10 once i crack open the bottle

If I decide to do a second car.. which could end up happening.. then I'll sell them to ya. Should the 2nd car be done, a narrow 9 inch is gonna go in it as the shorter axles will make for a lighter/stronger rear anyway, and I still think that weld draglites, especially 15 x 10 with a shallow backspace looks mean as hell... so that will be what goes on the 2nd car.. if that becomes the route.

As for your idea for a mean street car, I think my h/c setup with a 2 stage setup like that new dynotune thing I saw a thread about would be about should be about as mean as anything I have to worry about.

Now that 2nd car I was thinking about doing.... you know what the thoughts are for that. Be fun to get a temp plate for it just for a month, and bring it out just once. Only problem is that the 12 dollar a gallon gas I'll have to feed it, and the 5 gallon cell or smaller that will be under the hood won't get very far. I'll have to stop to fill it back up at least 3 times just to get it to BK on the pike from my house LOL.

Made the decision... car's getting the th400. Torque arm and replacment loop have been ordered from BMR this week, should be here next week long with the flywheel for the TH400 setup... shifter and other needed parts from summit will get ordered end of this month, along with shocks, R series fronts, 12 way rears.

Just have to get tires and I'm all set, ready to stomp heads, and make some rounds at LVD this year.

Nitrous will go on towards the end of the summer, so I have a good reason for the cage, lw seats, and all the other LW parts I can come up with to get the car into that 3200 range without driver.
