I'm swore that the wrx would never go to the track.. unless I was just going to hang out. I swore that I would never take it down teh track, so that way I'd never have a reason to do anythign other then general maintenance to it.
Please, don't make me have to do this LOL. I don't want to ahve to go into a 12 step program for car modding addicts, my wife already think's I'm a nut

geez i cant believe its already march.... my car is gonna be hiding in a nice trailer til late aug/early sept timeframe when i come home for R&R and then i get to go have some fun. until then i get to suffice with ford 500s and ford explorers and dealing with beligerent drunks...

I was looking at the new Solstice today. I guess a 260HP turbo version is comming out for 07. The good news is my girl loves the looks of it. Maybe I can convince her to let me get her one for her next car.

Fast is a relative term LOL. I know it's way faster then my pickup... but I acn't see this thing actually being fast LOL..... I know the first time I drive the transam this spring... probably on my way to the shop for the tranny swap.. there's no way I'm gonna think it's fast after that.
It's about as fast, maybe a little better then a stock lt1 car... only reason I know is a kid that works in the industrial park I work in has one, a 96 firehawk, he took it to work yesterday, and we raced down the road on our way to the highway entrance ramp on the way out yesterday... the cars were dead even, he'd lose a little when he shifted, and so would I.... pretty even. his car is as stock as you'll find, he bought it 3 months ago with 32K on the odo, and not one thign done to it other then maintenance, at lest so far.
Boris looks like you need a stiffer swaybar from that pic with the way the car was leaning over in the right rear... or does your weight in the seat stop that? Not trying to be funny, just noticed it. What do you have on it now for a bar?

That is just the initial displacment of energy. That night specificly, the suspension had a Noyzee custom tweek in order to get the car to grab . None of the cars were hooking that night,including the pass that I took that night 
. Brad played with the suspension and blam. All of a sudden, my car is the only one that really hooked 
. Even at that, after the first 60 feet the car was burning rubber the whole way . Brad came around and one of the tech guys wanted to know how he got the car to hook that night. It was cold,damp,overcast,and just plain lousy for racing, but it went. Brad and I both feel the car could have gone a bit faster if conditions allowed. Considering the conditions of the track, it was an awsome run. However you are right in the sense that I should get a stronger sway bar. There is only so long that my weight is going to compensate 
. In good weather and a tight set-up on the suspension my car takes off pretty good, ALAS!!-- You are right-- It needs to be ready on every pass, not just in optimum conditions. Brad has also suggested an upgrade. I'll have to check the wallet.
