Default Looking for a GOOD body shop

I'm looking for a good body shop in the MA/RI area to do some work on my C6 convertible. The fenders and 1/4 panels will be replaced along with the hood and nose. The whole car will need to be repainted after that is done. Attention to detail will be requied. Can't have a spec of overspray anywhere and I want it to at least look as good as it did from the factory. I have a few leads that I'm working on now but when it comes to something like this, I can't have to many options.

Thanks!

Thanks guys! I'm going to be making some calls this morning. Starting with Callaway to see who paints their cars and then going from there.

The car was supposed to be going to a shop on the other side of Boston Saturday so I brought the trailer to work yesterday, loaded all of the parts and was going to be putting the car in there tomorrow. Last night I found that shop is being sold so they are closing the end of March. I was like "WTF"!? Nobody told the people there until the deal was almost done. Kind of sucks to be the workers because I have a feeling that they don't know yet. Only the guy at the top does.

I had my car done by Matt at Chicken's Customs by Worcester. It was done 2 years ago, and I am still very happy with the work. He painted the whole car. This included final adjustments and prep on a new hood, minor adjustment on the alignment of a door, and recovering some badly sun faded bumper covers. Oh, and he did a very subtle ghost flame job for me too.

How much for the entire paint job?

Any idea how much they charge? I dont need much, if any, body work, just thinking of changing to sunset orange metallic as Ive always loved the color. Just trying to gauge how much a full paintjob would be.

Someone e-mailed me about Matt at Chicken's Customs too. I talked to him today. Seems like a very nice guy. Working on getting a few numbers and making some more calls. I'll be doing good if I can get it in and painted in the next few weeks. I'd like to have most of this wrapped up by the beginning of April.

I had him paint it the original color. For me, it cost my '87 Formula in trade. Seemed very fair to me. To see some during and after pics, go to http://barritt.net/photo.html
