yes.. it fills the intake with oil. It does nothing a breather won't accomplish.

I've seen breathers at work. I'll keep the PCV. Thinking about the Z06 mod?

No thanks.. I'll be ripping that junk off and putting a metco on. No way in hell with the way I change oil it going ot matter. The oil in the intake.. a way bigger problem IMO.

That along with a catch can still gets oil into the intake. The only wao to stop the oil vapors from getting in the intake and glazing it over is to not have the fumes be routed back into the motor. I know about teh emmisions blah blah.. but I think that once you've out a cam in a car, you're pretty much throwing that out the window IMO. Yes a breather will aloow moisture into the motor, like it allows teh vaprors to escapt the crankcase as pressure is developed, but if you change the oil like I do, about 4 times a year, and that is with about 2500 miles a year on the car, it's probably of no concern.

It has been said that the PVC aids in sealing the rings. If you have a bad consumption problem, hook up a catch can and/or convert to the LS6 valley cover/PCV system.

if you have a consumption problem go to the dealer and ask for the truck pcv valve it has a smaller hole than the f body one and is listed as a "fix" by GM, i did a catch can first and it helped some but not that much i did the pcv and it helped ALOT

If Gary had waited for me I would have gone to Don's yesterday.

But then the intake would not be on the car.
