definately worth it. That's pretty close to the setup I want but I'm going little at a time with some suspension/chassis upgrades as well. Also wanting to turn the car into a manual Hope you have fun with the new setup! Let us know what it pulls!

It will be a good solid setup for sure. Can't go wrong w/ the AFR's.

I'm pretty sure I'm going the same route.

Lancaster huh? Can't wait to see the beast. Putting my motor back in tomorrow at a shop in Leominster. You'll definately need a clutch and a rear after that. I broke the bank too, so it will be a junk yard 10 bolt until I can get the funds for the 9". My original rear blew apart after only about 5 passes at the track

yeah i was thinking of a rear end instead of the heads, since they are about the same price. And i was definatley thinking of new injectors not sure which ones to go with yet though slp has a set of flow matched injectors and ls1 speed has mototron high impedence injectors not sure which to go with any suggestions on flow # which to stick around

Slp you live in leominster or near im always looking for somebody to ride up with to the track since all my friends are all talk and no action.

Got the car back together, but I used a 6 banger rear to get the car rolling (certainly wont last w/400+RWHP). Car won't see the track for a while but once it is running it would be nice to follow someone up (long ride). Still need to get the cage painted and button up some other stuff.

PM me sometime and we can get the cars together

Notch the pistons. I know our 230 Cam only has .080 clearance with AFR's shaved .020,so I would suspect your Cam will have P/V clearance problems.

Listen to the man

Yeah your definately pushing the clearance. I think your going to be running border line with that cam and your milled heads. I know TTP runs their Equilizer cam w/ similar specs on the 205 AFR's and I think that almost maxes out the clearance without milling.

I would flycutt to be safe.

In the long run I know why Slowhawk picked out my cam to be matched w/ the AFR's, it's not the biggest one but should respond well to some milled AFR's w/ out clearance issues.

(We'll be talking soon Don )

that's a tough call, I guess I would wait but I'm impatient as hell. I think you'll really enjoy the heads when you get them.

Danno: The clearances are not tight with our cam unmilled.. I just wouldnt mill them further I like to be on the 'looser' side not too tight with P-V in case of any problems.

On the 205's you run 10.23:1 right?

Are those untouched heads?

Since I don't know the specs of the cam you guys run I was assuming it was a little bigger than the Torquer 2. Knowing that I figured any milling even .100 would require flycutting w/ that cam.

Don, the ET 215's, what are your impressions. Since they are 11 degree heads what needs to be changed. Valve covers, wires, pushrods, anything beyond the norm of doing the AFR option? For the $ do you think the ET's are a better option? I would assume milling would be more desirable on the 215 runners on a stock cube engine to re-gain the bottom end.

Just verified. The Equalizer cam fits very easily with AFR 205's milled .030

Even though it's off topic- You need different pushrods, rocker hold downs (ET specific) and you want to get compression to 10.8-1 or 11-1.
