And you planning on entering into to summer nationals, my car will be done soon, maybe we could meet up somtime.
Hey whats up? Im actually going to be taking it easy on teh car for a little while as im going to be getting some prc ls6 heads and dont want to blow up my 10 bolt at the track just yet haha. Let me know though when you guys are going to the track and I will def meet up on a weekend to hang out. I just want to make sure I have the money for a 9 inch or 12 bolt before I start making track runs because I wouldnt want my car down for an extended period of time. I will be around for the summer nationals though as I usually mak my way up to green hill park and to the burnouts so let me know what your plans are as it approaches.

And I second everything said about Dez Racing... It is a top notch shop...

Haha yea its nuts, everyone who has heard my car just is in awe. I actually just oreder a magnaflow though as my neigbors/parents arent too happy when i come home at like 3am after the bar haha. I will be getting a stainless steel cutout and the DHM electric cutout so that I will have that raspy straight pipe sound when I want it. Yea I hope to run the car after the heads are done later on in the year, again i just want to make sure I have the money for a new rear end just incase mine blows up. Its not my daily driver but it would kill me sseeing it just sit in my driveway for a prolonged period of time after the heads/cam.

Nice, yea its def an awesome cam, especially throughout the entire power band. Some of the other bigger cams will give violent upper rpm power but this cam pulls smoothly throughout the entire rpm range, which is what I was looking for. Don also was telling me that the cam probably makes more torque than the 356 rwtq I made, he was just starting the dyno run at a higher rpm due to the 3.42 gears so he wouldnt heat the engine up too much. I am def very happy with the cam though and it has a real mean sound/idle to go with it. You should def see more power than me as you had 02 heads. My 98 heads are killing me but thats why I hopefully will be back at dez racing for a prc ls6 head install in a month or so and willd ef post up the numbers when I get them.

Sorry for the half graph but the comp crapped out on me, but you guys can see the basics. As you can see i have valve float around 5500 rpms.

haha or as you cant see because it cut the rpms off, but around 5700 rpms there is valve float as you can see with the dip in the graph. Ill reload the rest tonite though. The first numbers are my baseline when i first brought the car in.

Actually your old setup had valve float

The new Cam ussually takes off at 4500rpm but the heads just flattened it out.On a 99 headed car it made 15hp more from 5000rpm up.I figure a 01+ headed car would make another 10hp. Who knows what a good set of heads will do

Yeah ill be doing basically the same thing as you but with a 233/239 cam and the prc heads with the comp valve job they will be arriving on may 9th hopefully, thats what the ups tracking says. And i got qtp's and ls6 intake manifold. well see what she makes soon enough, I will most likely be entering into the green hill park car show again, its so much cheaper buying the weekend pass to enter into the car show rather than buy seperate passes each day..

The setup of the 233/239 and PRC heads ussually peak HP at 6600rpm and the torque to 5800rpm. Already tested them.
