Default Got longtubes? Come on in!!

I was just wondering how many of you run long tubes on your DD and if you have had any problems with the law and/or inspections. Let me know your experiences or your suggestions. I live in MD and would like to know specifically about how the enforcement is in MD. Thank you.

if you run LTs with cats and a quiet muffler you will sound quiet as hell...

if its an issue in your area consider LTs and a cutout with a stock muffler...that way you can be loud or quiet

I've had them for a couple of years with no problems. My setup is LTs-carsound cats-corsa and its quiet as can be until u really get on it, then its pretty loud. I do have a ground clearance problem with the cats so they hit the floorboard sometimes but oh well.

I plan on leaving the dual/dual catback on for now but a cutout is a possibility. I guess im just wondering what the worst is that a cop would do if he looked under the car and saw longtubes. I know with dual/dual he probably wouldnt ever look under the car because of how quite it would be but im just kinda wondering.

Are you lowered or do they just affect the ground clearance that much?

A catted y pipe usually hurts ground clearence. Depending on the headers they can be tucked up though. I had pacesetter LTs with carsound cats welded into their ORY, the clearence wasn't great but it was doable, if the car was lowered it could have became an issue.

I am looking at QTP headers but am planning on leaving the firehawk's suspension stock. I figured as long as there are cats the police prolly wont be too much of a problem but i just want to know what they would do if they did notice and were upset about it.

I have no issues at all. Headers were the best mod I did. Your cat-back exhaust will make all the difference in sound once you add headers. Also cat's will help out a lot with sound.

Been running Pacesetter LT's on my lowered truck for 6 months with no issues so far....

Inspection due in July, so maybe some gutted cats will get welded in or something to pass a visual.

Is this what I keep feeling under my *** when I step on the gas? I recently had kooks with cats put on.

Did you have any problems with passing the inspection or do they only give it a sniffer in MD? But mine wouldnt be half as loud as your since i have the dual/dual as opposed to the loudmouth. Were you lowered at all? If so did you have any problems w/ ground clearance?

Is the noise level with the long tubes, cats and dual/dual comparable to a lm exhaust with just the catback or is it louder? Im not talking sound QUALITY but purely th loudness. Also did you ever have scrapping problems with that setup?lowered?
