Holly wet units!!!!!! holly ****, we have had call after call for furnaces under water!!! 
im smellin alot of servise calls, and some unit replacement.
a family friend lost his new harley under water!
it was in his basement which hasnt had water in the 30 years he has lived there.
he got 6 feet, his bike was under it

That sucks I hope it was insured!!!!! My grandparents house up on top of the hill by sandra's parents always used to get a foot or two of water during a bad storm. YOu woudlnt think so cuz they are on a hill but the water table is so high. This storm they would have had at least 2 prob 3 at least. They did one of those vmax french drain systems id say 10 years ago now and havent gotten a drop of water since. that system has paid for itself 3 times over now!! It was running like a bastard all day and prob still is but the house stays dry. They're great

open the bottom of the unit, see if the motor squircage got wet, if it did, drowned the thing in silicon or wd-40.
as long as nothing electric got wet, and the board is dry, you should be ok.
i would run the fan for a few days non stop to dry out the unit tho.

**** me! You wanna take a drive down Charles street right behind the fire house by the college on the way home and check my garage??? And the new house that backs up to wetlands.....ya I'm fucked....parents are out of town too!

if you do have an issue, be sure the company you choose to fix it doesnt screw you, i see it alot, people all of a sudden cost 170 an hour instead of 100.
my neighbor's house started puffing black smoke because of the burner getting wet or something, I thought his place was on fire but it was just all the water in his basement, sucky weather.
