I've travelled to a few shows over the years, and have good luck leaving a thin coat of wax on the car whenI leave, and when I get to where I'm going, you can wipe it off and presto, a nearly spotless car again, and you can barely tell it's there on the car when it's moving... at least on pewter paint anyway.
That's my plan as well, except I use Menzerna FMJ instead. I'll put a light coat of FMJ on the front of the car and clean it off as we stop each day. I'll also bring the clay bar and detailer spray so that will help also.

Honestly, I'm not going to worry too much about detailing the car since this isn't a static car show, but rather a rolling caravan and the car will look perfectly fine going down the road at 65mph.

See everyone in Orlando.

Good idea about the Z2! It put 4-5 coats on the nose already and will be adding one more before I leave, That will be staying on until I get down there. I'm going to try not to be to concerned with detailing while I'm down there. A few quick car washes here and there and maybe a little detailing so keep it looking good. I'd like to be able to check out the other cars and things going on instead of detailing. Plus it will probably be way to hot down there

Yeah dont obsess over cleanliness. Just be glad you didnt run over a truck tire @ 80 and put a huge black crunk mark on your front of your z06 like us last year. im just washing a few times at a self serve car wash unless someone has some hose connections?

I'd also out the wax on those rims too... so the brake dust doesn't collect on them too bad, those things look mint, but will be alot of work if a cleaning is needed.

Trust me on the Z2, I've tried alot of stuff to be able to get to a car show, and in 15 min be able to go over my whole car with a bottle of Z6 and a clean towel and have it look perfect... it works really well.

It's just too bad that every major car show in the CT area treats any car made after 1975 like a red headed step child, and ignore them completely.

3m my c5 the best thing ... my 01 vette had stone and bug chips on mirrors and on the nose no more the 3m on my 03 took care of that and after you buff a few times the line on the film really blends into the car and makes it not so noticeable.....

I use that on the nose of my truck (do alot of road trips). It works good so I've considered it for the Corvette.
