Default Raced the 73 Z last night

Of course I get to the track last night, get teched in and am in the first set of cars in the lanes and what do we get but a small rain cloud go by so of course that set us back 20 minutes but at least it stopped and they dried the track up fairy quickly, well maybe not that quickly as it was raining at 5:30 and the time in my first timeslip was 6:20 but whatever I made some passes

I was running some Firstone Firehawk SZ50 tires 245/50/16s on my new Torque Thrust D's on all four corners.

First pass was:

2.066 - sixty ft
13.924 @ 98.06

Second pass:
2.031 - sixty ft
13.857 @ 97.79

Third pass:
2.046 - sixty ft
13.825 @ 98.20

Fourth pass:
2.037 - sixty ft
13.855 @ 97.95

Fifth pass:
1.946 - sixty ft
13.792 @ 97.50

Sixth pass:
2.002 - sixty ft
13.770 @ 98.27

Fairly close to the 13.6 @ 100 that I ran on the simulated 1/4 mile run on the Mustang dyno at Maximum Performance.

Now that have this out of the way, it's time to get ahold of Vinny Borbone from 860 Performance to get my NX kit working so I can hit it with a 100 shot.

Not bad for 217 RWHP eh

Bob,
Good to see you still frequenting the boards....don't let those commie bastards keep you away

For a mystery motor I'm happy, hell with some drag radials and spray it should get into the 12's pretty good.

The nice thing was if the motor got a C/H warm the car didn't pull any timing Gotta like old school!!!

not bad runs, Marc!
Hey, that beats the projected 14.0 on the seat-of-the-pants-dyno! You must be very happy with that.
wait, ****, your car is almost faster than mine! I need to learn how to drive!

how did it go on the ride up there? they took alot of weight, but the tires were alittle jumpy on the balancer. I hope they came out alright for ya!

now I can't wait to see the wheels on the car, I bet it looks sinister!

Enjoy,
-Scott

Scott,
Hey, I much appreciate you hooking me up and getting the tires mounted

They drove much better than the junk "Road Hugger" tires that were on the car.

It does look sweet and I'm working on getting a pic thrown up on the web so I can show them off as they do make the car.

Looking forward to hitting the track with the juice

Now paging 860 Performance, now paging 860 Performance

Big difference from your last car. How long till this one hits low 10's.

Dave,
This car will NEVER have a cage in it so the best it will run is mid 11's unless I'm at a rental and can throw a lil more spray at it.

I'm happy with it and it's a much better all around car vs. the drag queen it replaces......
