Default Massachusetts people with headers come in!!!

Anyone in Massachusetts have long tubes and a catted-y set up that PASSES the FULL emissions test? I'm nervous about throwing big dollars towards a nice system and having it not reliably pass inspections.

Also anyone hit up shows in central mass this summer?

No full length header will pass emissions. Anything that moves the catalitic location is illegal, plus none of them are carb stamped.

Don't worry though, as long as you have cats you can pass the visual ( that's all they look for), they shouldn't give you a hard time.

So if i run pacesetter long tubes with the tsp catted-y with magnaflow high flow cats, and hook up all my sensors correctly, i could probably pass? they have never looked under my car before, but it has always been stock and quiet. whats the chances that they know the stock location of the cats anyway? heh

Shouldn't run into any problems unless the guy is a jerk. You might want to consider 02 sims for the rear sensors. when I 1st put on long tubes i threw tons a efficiency codes.

Hey slowhawk i am considering long tubes and high flow cats for my 06 gto and your name keeps coming up when it comes to tuning. Hopefully by the end of the summer i will be able to get everything on and get a hold of ya. I am in Framingham Ma, but went to school down near where you are.

Most inspection stations just plug you in, as long as your SES lights are cleared you pass, I never hear of stations looking under to check cats

I passed with LTs and no cats. Just have the codes tuned out and you won't have problems.

in 8+ years of driving a car, i have never had an inspection tech crawl under there. granted, my exhaust is rather quiet compared to the people with LM's and duals, so that might have something to do with it as well.

Wow surprised to see so many people here from this god awful state and running full exhaust no less! I would love to hear a car or two before I buy my parts (thinking about the pacesetter/catted-y combo from TSP) if anyone hits any shows around the Worcester area let me know! I'm often at Hebert candy mansion in shrewsbury or Kimball's Farm in Weston on thursdays.

No headers yet, but how do you "tune out" the codes?
