It should have worked every time. Whatever number you pick, you will end up with a multiple of 9 for the symbol thing. Every multiple of 9 has the same symbol, even though it appears to be random, so, unless you did your math wrong, it should have worked every time.

didn't work everytime but two of three tries with two diff symbols worked. weird, but then again I only got 3hrs sleep max and had my first beer at about 5:45.
