BYE BYE Cam Only.............

more bad news, when installing new metal header gaskets, the one header bolt broke inside

so now i cant go for the cam only list, and i didnt make it onto the SI list soo its kinda a bummer. im not gonna take the heads off again to stay cam only, unless a great deal falls in my lap.

but i guess the good news is that im going to get 243 castings and port them and have a H/C setup now.

not necessarily a bad thing...not good and def a real pita...but doin heads will of course make it even faster still

..and thats never bad!

Are sure you can't seal the headers with just four bolts? One of mine is bad and mine does not leak with only four bolts instead of 5.

I have noyzee's old 243 casting heads that will be coming off my motor in the very near future, he was running well into the 9's with them last year before be picked up a set of afr's. Heads probably have about 300 miles on them since they were last refreshened with new springs etc.etc.
