Drove it to the pike a few times.. southington for that foagie show once.. You probably went to waterbury to race the hondas...

It's been to the pike once this year... just as it was raced, except the passenger's seat was in at the pike LOL. That, a trip or 2 back and forth to the shop, around the block a few times to give a couple people a ride, and to that show in southington once (which we will make better next year, by bringing more young people to with actual muscle cars, not old antiques that make less power then my subaru)

really doesn't have alot of miles on it.. motor's probably just broken in now. I have changed the oil 3 times since I got it back though, and am gonna do it again before I put it up for the winter.

ummm i went 127 with 4.10's with plenty of room...limiter was 6800 went 142 with 370 at 6600...123 with 27" tire at 6800 would equal about a 4.40 gear..do the math.

Both my friends 402/427's stalled autos are going 125-127 as well

I think you got plenty of gear still, at least for a few more motor runs upto 127

Funny ya say that. I'm starting to wonder about the shift light and if it's working right all the time actually, it's a harlan one, and it always worked fine with the stock motor, but now it seems like it might be acting funny, according to my math, I shouldn't have been seeing it on at all when I was at the end of the track, and I didn't that day at NED, and that was 123 mph.

I'm sure there's some converter slip too.. how much I don't know.

It probably would be good to about 130 ish with the limiter being set at 7500, especially once the better tire (also slightly taller, 28 vs the 27's on it now). Might even be able to once the weight reduction I have planned gets done... but I know that I will be putting spray on it next year, so when I pull axle this year to get a spool put in it and probably bigger/longer rear studs, I will most likly change the gears while it's apart. I don't think the 4.10's and the nitrous (125 to 200 shot, I'll be in that range I'd guess) wil work.. I'm sure I'll run out of gear. Camaro1053 on here has a th400 and 4.10's and he sprayed his car to a 10.3 @ 133, and was 100% out of gear... his car and mine make similar power and are similar weight wise.. I'm sure he will go alot faster with a gear change, that being said I'm probably gonna do the same.


But, if I were gonna keep the car set up on motor, I'd probably go the other way, 4.33 or 4.56

Considering the motor was built with the intention of seeing 400 hp or more of nitrous.. I'm gonna guess that it will probably like it... alot. That being said, the gear change pretty much has got to happen. I'll never hit it with 400... but what it's built with could take it. I will hit it with 125 to start, probably end up stepping up to 200 eventually right out of the hole. Should be intresting!
