Can you say 396ci LSx... And the price on the window is 7650, a super steal, but I am getting it for less than that, at least we will find out tomorrow... I will regret selling the car, much like my 1992 with ultra rare SLP T-Ram - or my 1969 - or my 1991... bla bla bla. I guess I am a Camaro man

As being one who's recently done the same damn thing all I can say is......Excellent choice........
Now if it were me I'd..........
http://www.maximumperformance.biz/project_Rahn.htm
**** it baby, old school looks....new school power
There are a few things you need to get used to now that you have a classic.....
A) listening to people tell you about the one they had back in the day
B) it doesn't drive like the new ones but you can make it better
C) Get rid of the carbed old school motor, we as a society evolved for a reason.
If you read Popular Hot Rodding they did a series of articles about a year ago on project G28 and I did some similar things to my 73 Z/28....
Hotchkis front and rear springs, KYB shocks, entire new front end from PST.
I find NPD is a good place to get old school parts.
Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
Uncle Marc
EDIT - one more thing.....you'll love the new found engine room you have. Plenty of space in the engine bay, no more acting like Gumby just to change a set of plugs...
www.nastyz28.com is a good second gen board

Thats good news Bob! You guys must have passed a friend of mine on the highway. He called and asked me where I was going... it took me a minute to figure out what he was talking about... lol.
And no Tracer... the car went to a GREAT home (which is a good feeling). I had lots of calls from all over, California, Texas, Arizona, Rhode Island, New York, etc. Bob and his son came through, very polite and professional, made the transaction a breeze. Spoke on Thursday, they were here on Friday.
This certainly isn't their first LSx car - I believe he said something about a 4.190" bore 4.125" stroke motor they assembled recently

Thanks Steph. It basically left me debt free plus I still has an SS, just an older one. It's a good feeling to not owe anyone any money
1st and Goal - I spoke with you up at NED. I told you I was looking for one... lol. Any info you have collected would be great. I gotta try to seal the deal with the gentleman that owns the car today before I jinx myself here.

for you guys who are lookin at stuff like hotchkis for suspension,i have an alternative. http://www.martzchassis.net/
bring that suspension into the same century as the engine you are planning to drop in it.

Great car. I would have taken a loan and kept the 4th gen. I have that series from Popular hot rodding on the project G28. They should have put an ls1 in it. I think they ended up with 200something rwhp. out of a 383 stroker.
