It's good to hear the 28's fit relativly easy, that's what I plan to put on my car, 28x10.5 et drag. I figured the inner lip of the bumper cover was coming off.... It's on my list to do over the winter. I'm trying to find another set of welded r/t bogarts for an f body, that way I can have a set with a dot tire, and a non dot tire on them. Even if I have to buy a new pair.... I'll do it.
my inner lip is untouched as far as the metal goes, only the plstic has been trimmed and some hammering in of the wheel well. I have a set of Alumna stars with 7" backspacing. I think I might invest in som shocks to get my 60ft. down a little more. If I were you I would invest in a standalone fuel system for your nos so you don't burn a valve like I did

I have a set of bogarts.. whatever the backspacing is on them. Good to hear the metal isn't gonna have to get touched.

I was looking at the standalone setups that are out there, like the harris one that sits where the fust boxes are. I am not sure if it's really gonna be needed, I'm already running a 105 unleaded fuel..so it's not like I'm on strait pump at this point. But, the standalone would be a good investment. I'm not 100% if I'm even gonna spray the car next year, I want to do some 10.5 index racing with it, and to get it to that speed, I think a tire change, slight weight reduction, or at least as much as I have to take out to keep the car where it is after the rollbar goes in, and maybe swapping on an edlebrock intake in hopes to make a little more power will be enought o get it there.

Honestly I will probably have ot tighten teh converter up some to spray the car with any actual amount, and if I'm gonna do that I mine as well do a DP setup, which menas I'm not playing with a mid to low 10 second car anymore, probably a mid 9 second car, so now it needs teh 10 pt, etc.etc. Making the power to get there isn't the concern, I have a motor and driveline to do it, I just don't know if I want to take it to that level yet. at the mid 10 second level on motor, I'm not gonna be breaking stuff, I push it to that level, stuff just breaks, no matter what you're doing it with.. not sure if I want the headaches yet.

Ya may want to think about going to a 3.73 too, that would help make the car more streetable if anything, and should help with the RPM situation. Ya wouldn't have to worry about the taller tire screwing with the ride height/car angle and all that either causign your suspension setup to go out of whack.
Marks car already has clearance for 30" tires. A very, very nice job the body shop has done. Looks perfectly stock!

It would be pretty cool to drive to the track on the MT ET Radials, click off some high 9's and drive home

Not sure I wanna spin the motor to 7600. I'm at the track 4-5 times a month and I'm on a budget so anything I can do to make my setup reliable and long lasting is the approach I gotta take. I figure the 150 shot and a set of tires makes the most sense right now, I'm gonna call the Cartek boys today and talk about it.
Your car is awesome Mark. I love watching that car launch. I'm sure Cartek will put you in the right direction.

Default 29's

here are a set of 29's, still have room for more front and back. These are on 6.5" bs, would have to go with 7.5's for the 30's to get them to clear the top. Would probably have to roll the top fender too.
Sounds like a good idea to see how it works with the 28's first. They grow to 29's anyway so it might be close enough.
I'd be hesitant to run a 30" slick, might not have enough for the growth on those but at that size you could run a radial slick which doesn't grow or the ET drag radial.

7000 would be good. That would be as high as I want to spin it. Gotta make this motor last.

Thanks man, I called them earlier today, we're gonna set a date for the install.

So with the 150 shot, what'll you guys think it'll run?
I was thinkin' 9.7's maybe?

I spoke to Dave today and he doesn't think I'll need the separate fuel system but we're gonna talk more tomorrow. How big a shot are you running?

That doesn't look too bad, it ook slike the fronand the back of the wheel well were modded?

as for the standalone, alot of wether you will need it or not depends on what you put in the main tank for gas.. if you are running pump.. I'd definately put a standalone in it and put some GOOD fuel in that thing... but if you are putting good fuel in the main tank and have enough pump so the fusl pressure can keep up you should be o.k. with a 150 hit. Start getting any bigger then that, and a standalone IMO is pretty much needed. If you are spendign the $ on a DP setup, I'd just do the standalone, and be done with it, at that point there's really no needto take chances.

Glad to here that! I don't see where 9.7's should be a problem for your car.

No DP set up for me, don't wanna shoot it with that much, simple single or dual nozzle, purge, window switch that's it. Yes front and back of wheelwell is altered.
