Raced a Lamborghini :)

Raced a Lamborghini :) So anyways today set off for Jackson NJ for some holiday shopping. Get down Marter Ave in Moorestown, and I see a Lamorghini Gallardo. The owner was probably a early 40's late 30's man. We got onto 295 S, and instantly he hit it, as did I. We fly for a bit, and I get next to him. He wouldn't slow down to get a 2nd gear roll off, but went from 70 in 3rd. He kind of jumped first and we shut down at about 135. When all was said and done I had a car and a half maybe on him. It was dumb to race during the holiday season, and on a main highway. Probably a million cops out. Wasn't many people out on the road at that time. But hey how often do you get to race a Lamborghini

Hey, the damn thing moved. I'm cam only and put down 426/394. I was doing some reading, and they say they go 12.0 11.9 stock. Don't know how much truth there is to that, maybe someone will chime in and give a more accurate time

Hahaha the guy was cool, he gave me a wave and everything. My clutch leg was shaking after the race lol, I realized how stupid it was to run like 9 exits at 90+ just on him, and that I raced a lamborghini

yeah i think they trap around 122 if im not mistaken, you probably caught him in a dead spot of his powerband(if there even is one) because Im not sure if your car could trap 120+mph

Maybe, I didn't think they were slow. I wish I got a picture of it, I was freaking at my gf to get a picture lol, but didn't work too well.
Bill I know on a real crappy run at atco the last time I went I had one 117 trap and that was on a bad run. I don't know if my car could but I know Roshan with the same cam trapped 120 I believe cam only, maybe he will chime in here but I think he did. He may have had heads on his car when he did that.
All I know is that I pulled a bit on the Lamborghini, not blow the doors off, but I know a pulled a bit.
I just really wish that we got a 2nd gear 50 roll off

the only reason I say 122 is because I tried to catch a race with one with my Z when I had heads/cam...he didn't bite but when I got home I looked up the info to see if i even wouldve had a shot

True, but if that hot blonde were in the car when this happened she would certainly have to, at least for a split second, rethink just how financially powerful and all conquering her 'guy friend' really is if he could lose to a 6+ year old Chevy...maybe not.

i was heads/cam
and gallardos arent all that fast... just some crazy top mph gearing... from 50-140 when i just had ls6 intake in vette vs a stock 50th vette and one of our buddies driving a gallardo it was dead even.

Still was cool to race a Lamorghini regardless of wether it goes 10's or 13's. I think 13.1 thought is a little slow. I just researched a little more, it says they go 12.5's stock. Still not slow. But as you are all saying they have crazy top end.
