Default my trip to TTP yesterday

yesterday I went back to TTP to have my LS6 intake put on. The installation went very well and we got the car on the dyno. With the new intake and a little bit of quick dyno tuning by Matt, I have successfully achieved my goal of 400 rwhp and great fuel economy. I have the graph so Im going to scan it in at work tomorrow and post it up. The car made 401 hp uncorrected and 399.92 corrected. This is all with AFR 205s, a Cheater Cam, Kooks Long tubes and no cats and a stock differential. After the dyno run, Matt and I went out to do a part throttle tune. I watched Matt tune the V/E tables and do a few other things (including correct my speedometer.) The car now drives much better and fuel economy is further improved.

All in all TTp has been great to me. They are a smart and hard working bunch of guys and I really appreciate there help. As an added bonus there were a couple C6 Z06s there yesterday (1 Black and 1 White.) These cars are unbelievable. The power they make is unreal.

sorry should have included that the car is an M6 (that unfortunately for me, may be due for a rebuilt sooner than i expected.

The car has approximately 395 horsepower from 5500 to the 6800 RPM rev limit. I am very happy with these results =).

Good to hear your story, i talked to Matt about doing the same part throttle tune and drivability hopefully this week before winter shows up
Maybe he can squeeze 8 more hp so i to can reach the 400hp mark also
and better mpg's to.

Well the cheater cam isnt the biggest cam out there, I mean that could be a easy 20 rwhp left on the table but his criteria is make 400 rwhp and have great fuel economy. Having alot of overlap and duration makes power but alot of the unburnt fuel is just tossed out of the combustion chamber,

I also should have mentioned that the car was dynoed with a stock catback. I have a cutout, but wanted the car to reflect the actual driving conditions it will see every day.

cut out open (~ 7 to 8 rwhp) + 90mm Fast Intake and throttle body ( ~15 rwhp) + larger cam (~ 20 rwhp) = right up there with all the other AFR headed cars

as mentioned above the cheater cam is really really small. The car basically drives and idles like stock and has 100+ more hp at the wheels.

You have my dream car. My favorite corvette colors are magnetic red, spiral grey and DSOM. All the mods that you have are exactly what I always said I would do if I ever got a vette. Enjoy the nice ride

Yea thanks for the compliments, the Spiral Gray is a two year only color
03' 04' and the mods are just perfect for me i use it as a DD weather permitting(snow/ice) so i didn't want to go wild, its just what i wanted so im happy.
C5 prices are getting lower as more move into the C6 so maybe you'll find one on a deal remember the only diff between years as far as the body are the early style wheels,SS exh tips on 00' & up and year specific color.
You could pick up a 98' or 99' pretty cheap and update the motor with later stuff the way you want it.

Maybe you missed that it has a very small cam??
Nothing but negitivity from you as usual not suprised!!
How about my car im making 500rwhp SAE guess that low for my basic mods? also because it came out of ttp's shop makes it worse for you and also backing the times up with the fastest bolt on C6 Z06 currently must be horrid for you to see. why dont you stay out off ttp threads you have nothing good to say even when the customer is happy you had a bad experence o well get over it 3 years ago.

Gee im sorry, i was under the impression that this was a PUBLIC forum. i asked a simple question and didnt say anything about anything else. im entitled to ask a question to who ever i want. and incase you didnt notice, after the gentleman responded about the smaller cam, i didnt post anything else. i was just curious, thats all.
heres a little bit of more info for you, i could give 2 left nuts about you, your car, or TTP so how bout you have a nice hot cup of STFU and have a nice day!

99zman said the same thing and your not shitting on him. tnt made a comment about the combo, not the mechanic. in all honestly i thought the same thing when i read the post. some combos work, some dont, but it has nothing to do with the shop

Nice setup man glad you are happy with it. Dont be bothered by this internet dyno crap, 95% of all the good numbers come from somebody trying to sell you something or leaving out some important part,like running 12-1 compression. This is not directed at anyone in particular.

So does the 8 hundredths of HP missing from 400HP corrected bother you? lol
