might look good with the stock hood with a scoop to let some air in on that one side... would look nice because it would be a one-off part that noone else would have.. and you have a good reason to need the airflow, unlike most people that put aftermarket hoods on.
Just a thought.

i'm not opposed to a custom hood, but, i'm done with custom anything at the moment. too risky, too pricey.
wifey didn't roll her eyes at the goodmark hood. i'm leaning that way. I don't want to change the hood at all, but.............
i pulled the insulation out of the underside of the hood today. it just so happens that the wastegate sits exactly where one of the braces is under the hood. i could cut out that part of the brace or just dent it in and that problem would be solved. But i still have the heat issue.
i bought a turbo blanket from innovative. should be at dez any day now. maybe that will do the trick. doubt it.

looks like someone else had the same idea as me. looking at the underside of that hood, i don't think it would do much about getting the heat out.

Danali,
the reflexions hood fits really shotty the top of the fenders, near the door,I put 2 goodmark cowls on mine and a '06 crew cab...and with some MINOR fender adjustment we were in. the reflexions also has a differnet style of cowl and is also about an 1" shorter, believe it or not...but either way you'll probably have to modify the underlay braces,my cowls braces DO NOT folow the up sweep of the cowl...the original firemat is supposed to be put on to the new hood from the stock...
just a thought.

I had the heat extractors cut out and the holes filled in.
