The funniest part of the whole thing is there are cars that are running quicker than both of these cars with just a cam only setup.....Not taking anything away from Alex or Pete but the truth is there old hat...

The point I'm trying to make is there are cars out there with less going faster,A race car can mean som many different things to one person,FWIW I dont see Alex or Petes cars being race cars but to someone else they are,so its really a mute point...

JS is correct the term is used loosely at times. If you want my honest opinion how my car sits right now its a race car. However, there are numerous other things I will be doing to the race car to make it a lighter race car.
But where it stands now, I could put radials on the rear tires and drive my car anywhere I want to... at high rpms on the highway

The 'what constitutes a street car versus race car' debate will never be resolved.
Is a car that still has air conditioning/heater/power steering but with no interior/no radio/no air bags in it at all still a street car?
Or how about a full stock seats/stock interior car that's removed A/C and power steering and has a spooled rear?
Does a bone stock car with merely skinnies installed suddenly cost it it's street car status?
It's ALL subjective and opinion.

seeing as how my car is insured, inspected, has lisence plates, can be driven in comfort, gets 25+MPG, and I wouldn't think twice about driving my grandmother in it. I think that makes it a 'street car'

I drove my Trans Am to High Point last summer with the tops out, listening to the sterio, and getting great fuel milage. I think that speaks volumes.
