Barry gave PJ a race by leaving on him hard. Nice driving today Barry. Still think you need an A3 to go along with the new spool. hehe
Congrats PJ on winning the quick 8!
Great time and a family day to boot with all the kids in attendance. Gotta get some little QTP shirts made up for the tots.

Here is what Ihink abou this series. It is great for us. Freakin' awesome. However, I think there are cars being left out, mainly mine! LOL. I really want to race this series but they run the same day and time as the Corvette races I race in. I think RP wants to leverage Corvettes crossing over but it is not working. I talked a little with Barry and we are going to try and work together for 2008.
Great job today guys. Full field of 8 cars was great.

Thanks guys!! I have to start workin on my light. Wanna thank Barry at QTP for puttin on a great event and Cartek for tuning my car. Going to try and get some weight out of her next year I think 3704lb is a bit to heavy and fig out that second stage.

So I didn't win...at least I showed up to support a class I believe in.
Stick with your little "Corvette Only" race groupies.
Let the Men race Heads-Up!

Barry, Make sure we don't get put on some obscure day & time?
Redgar, before or after a Corvette event wouldn't be too bad?

Get a bar and race heads-up for real instead of being first round fodder Till then, don't waste your time and hurt your two index fingers typing 'cause I won't be replying to someone sitting at the children's table.

I'm new to the circle, but, it was a great day. I learned alot and got to meet some great people at the same time. We definitely got lucky with the weather. Even more lucky with everyone racing late into the night with no problems. Well almost....
I look forward to more good times if they're going to be as good as this. Thank you to all involved and congrats to PJ (that Bird is FAST!). A special thanks to Barry for giving me my first "hit" to get me hooked

Memphis had a cool 30-mile cruise and then 3 runs- back to back, really cool.. maybe those who were there can expound upon that.
Here's the specifics...

I was at the LSX Shootout and ran the True Street thing. It is a fun thing to do but I felt it was missing the racing aspect. I screwed up cause I thought they were running us with the regular cars and expected some 8 second cars so I tried to slow my car to try and win the 11.0 prize. I short changed myself.
What you are describing sounds like a lot of fun and something I would race in, who am I kidding, I would race in anything LOL, but not something I can take on right now in setting up. I am pretty tapped out now with organizing the Corvette Challenges (we may be adding a new class) and the E-town indexes and helping out with the LSX Shootout for next year and trying to maintain my own racing schedule.

Throw in True Street and Power-Adder Classes = Mass Appeal/ Big Car Count.
Advertise in the top 5 or 6 bulletin boards (LS1Tech and LSx Boards, SVT and Modular Boards, Corvette Forum) plus track flyers and it would be a winner!
