ya we really should organize ls1tech fbod meets on the pike for all of us NE guys. I think it'd be pretty sweet all rolling together, maybe show a few stangers & rice burners what Camaros, T/A's and Vettes are capable of. My dad comes down every so often with his & mine '69 Z/28 as well. Depends on if he feels like spending $80-$90 on gas for a night just going there and coming back.

A big meet up at BK would be a good idea, set it up so everyone shows up at 5 one night and just swamp the whole lot... would be mint!

This definatelty has to go down, imagine if we filled the whole parking lot with f-bods, good times!!!

 

Essentially, Ralph controls the BK parking lot.

First and foremost, this is a Mopar cruise and Ralph has an exclusive relationship with BK. So, F-bodies will still get kicked to the rear.

Although I have a TA, I breakout my Mopar for that cruise.

In my opinion, the Pike is no where what it used to be. We cruised the pike 25 years ago and street racing was just incredible. There were many 9 and 10 second Mopars, Chevys and Fords tearing up the Pike. Racing for $500 or $1,000 occurred, especially from the guys that came up from Long Island. It was crazy and cops looked the other way - many watched the races with us. Everyone partied and had a good time.

 

I dont think anyone can really "push" a car to the back of the lot. I know I wouldnt simply move my car for anyone but one with a badge.

I know that makes me sound like a *****, and very self righteous, but I wouldnt let a FBod meet get interrupted by someone else, thats like Rosa Parks on the bus.

Im driving the wheels off my car this summer, so I will probably be there every weekend after I get back from school.

It needs to happen at least once this summer, moreso to make a point then anything else.

I say we try all rolling in at about 6 one night after you knwo the organizers are there to be right about it, all meet up at one place and then head over in a long *** train... and if that doesn't work, then do it again but at 4 pm and get there before anyone is there to say poo about where you park. I think we could easily get enough cars to fill 50% of the lot, at least the pavement anyway.

not so much to make that happen, it would be moreso to make the point that there are other cars out there that there's a high intrest level in, and there shouldn't be the bias attitude that commonly gets a little out of hand down there.

Not once have I ever sen a non-mpoar car get parked in the front grass..... that has always urked me. Even the night that the absolutely 100% perfect COPO 69 camaro was there, the one that won about a million trophies for bese original camaro, etc.etc that was forced to park at the exit of the main area.... that to me just blew me away when all the grass in front was open. Owner was a little pissed about it too.. justfully so IMO.


We'll gather up the best looking local f bodies and swarm the place, if anyone knows someone with a killer 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen car get them in on it too, it would be alot better looking thing to do if we had some of the older cars mixed in.




A 2nd thought, is to have someone start going to the pike and talking to business owners to find an alternate spot on friday nights, so that we could dictate the same type of BS ourselves..... another thought.

 

I'd be down for an f-body takeover of the BK lot... lol.

 

I went there last night... it sucked. The american car group really needs to step it up and bring their cars out once the weather gets nice. Forget BK take over, lets make it a pike take over. (But I would also join in on a BK takeover to represent the 2nd gens)

 

Im down guys.... Just the damn weather needs to be a little warmer so we can hang out outside and BS without shivering

 

I'll say it again: first and foremost, this is MOPAR cruise at BK. Ralph has an exclusive right to control the parking lot. I'm not sure why you guys get offended by this. Yes, even the COPO Camaro will be parking in the back.

I'm not saying I agree with the policy, but that's the way it stands right now.

Personally, I'd rather see a huge all American-only cruise in a large parking lot on the Pike and a total take over of the entire Pike by American Muscle one of the summer nights!

I'm with 99Andrew on this. They did set this up as a mopar cruise. They go there every Saturday nite. You want to show up once in a while and take over. Not cool. I have showed up with a group of F-bodies before and parked in the parking lot, we were asked if we wanted to park on the crass in front. The people there where totally nice. No reason to go try to start ****.

If you want to do a F-body show, set it up with another business there. I'd definitly try to show up a few times over the summer.

 

I agree with the above to posters. Ill be there next weekend if its nice. I love cudas, my favorite car.

 

I totally agree. I went there and was treated with total respect. Why do you guys feel you have the power to go there and "try" to take over. What point would that prove? That you guys only respect fbodies and have no room for anything else? C'mon. How lame is that? Try to get somewhere else and make it how you want.
