He should have put a converter in the car to begin with. A 3200-3600 stall verter and gears wouldn't matter anymore.

U and kyle are very irritating. he thinks because i talk about wanting a stall im "finnaly listening to him" and u think because i want a tune im "finnaly listening to u" well hate to break it to u, but u guys arent my insperation, i just dont have the time or money right now, and brian told me that a tune at VA speed cost upwards of $450, i dont care who u are, thats ****** stupid expensive and i wont pay that much, especially when im just a bolt-on car right now. When i return from Iraq, im doin a stall and H/C and ill probably get a street tune from chauncey or another guy i know.

$450 for a real tune, not just a stupid WOT tune vs $350 for just some run of the mill WOT tune.... i hope who ever you let tune the car knows what they are doing....

As far as the tune goes man, like i said, chauncey knows how to tune pretty damn good, hell, bens truck is prime example of that, thats why i will probably have him tune my car, and brain can tune his *** off too, but i cant justify $450 for a tune to myself, nevermind my wife. Thier is a point to me when prices seem like they are just unreasonable. Just my .02

i know chauncey knows his stuff pretty good.... not doubting him at all. when you break down what all goes into to a tune though, $450 isnt alot at all. take for example my car. brian put over 13hrs of actually behind the wheel driving my car down the road, real street tuning, and then a few more hours on top of that on the dyno. anyone who is gonna tune your car, especially a heads/cam car, their gonna be behind the wheel for a while. im not talking just a basic tune either.... making sure she idles perfectly in cold or hot weather, she not leaning out up top or backfiring.... not to mention what each credit costs from Hp Tuners. now i dont know what they pay brian, but factor that into the price and also what it costs for dyno time, which isnt cheap. and then what it actually costs the shop to do work. when broken down, $450 is justified pretty easy. but i do understand the finance situation, especially with the wife and having a baby too.... money needs to be elsewhere first. if chaunchey is gonna do it for cheaper, then by all means jump on it man!

i am aware of the fact that tuning a car with alot of mods isent just a cake walk. My buddy jamie, who is on this website(Raise) no offense, but has probably had more f-bodies than all of us in our local group has, put together, hell he has even had an ls2 gto! Anyway, my point is, his latest creation, an 02 Z28 with 8000 miles on it that he just bought bone stock, has everything done to it already, that i want, as far as performance atleast, 228 cam texas speed stage 2.5 heads and a yank 3600 stall, and he introduced me to a guy that lives up here in newport news that tunes all of his cars when he mods them, and does it on the street and after riding in his car afterwards, u would have thought it came stock because it idles perfect and runs nasty. All im saying, is to me it doesnt seem competitve to pay almost $500 for a damn tune.

dont worry man. literaly take off the stock air box and silencer and fit the new one on and clamp it down.... only problem you might have, most of us do, is fittment. it might hit the bottom of the hood and start to scratch it. make sure she is secure and the clamps dont come back up.
