WJ, the track was slick in the right lane, a guy did wreck out in the first 1 hour or so. He rolled it a few times. I had forgotten to mention it. You were right.
The only way they'll ever fix that problem is to raise the whole track at least 1 ft....water table is very high there during springtime and early summer. They've had the same problem since they opened in the 60's....You've really gotta be careful running there this time of year. Management knows their problem, but takes your $ anyway, and assumes no liability... WJ

didn't you have a auto? you had 4-10's in that?
Before my '02 A4 car, I owned a '99 SS M6. Stock tune and motor w/dual-dual, a few rear suspension mods, 4.10's w/beefed 10 bolt. I ran Nitto's and sometimes 26" M&H superstock d.o.t.'s. It was a high 12.60's car. Sold it w/11k on clock and ordered my '02 A4.......
BTW, In my opinion, Hoosier is making the best M6 drag tire for the stick-shifted 4th gen F-bods, new GTO's and late model Corvettes. I think George Benson has proven that w/his low 1.4 sixty-foot times w/his C6, Zo6. Absolutely no question.... WJ

The only issue with the tire was the 1st run allowed somewhat of a burnout, after that, it just pushed the car forward, thats freaky, did the same thing on the LT1 car. Line lock, and starting in the water and rolling out to ensure hey are clean will be key.

I have a drag day with Jannetty on the 25th of May, thats my next car date. I should get plenty of runs to mess with tire psi. Since I dont have things like adjustible shocks, there isnt much one can do.

Early 4th gen V6 Camaro coupe rear springs (1995 to be exact), a right side Airlift bag, good lca's w/poly bushings, control arm re-location brackets, w/afore-mentioned tires got me 1.67 best to consistent low 1.70 sixty foot times w/my M6 '99 SS when the only tuning available was a Hypertech hand-held tuner. aka/the old days... BTW, I ran the stock shocks all around.... WJ

with that whole right lane situation, I'm kinda glad I haven't gone yet. I'm guessing by the middle of may it should be all dried out, and be good to go, just about when I plan on making my first trip

Man, if I were you I'd get a tune. With my mods, I was dangerously lean. You should be able to pick up quite a bit also. My car ran 12.5@112 on street tires.

with a ORY you will run lean, im running cats. I hope to get it wide band dyno next week. The plugs look mint and thats the old school way of checking.

If its nothing crazy, I am going to not add any more power and spend the 400 at esp for a dyno tune when the cam goes in.

If the car is pushing the tires are not spinning fast enough. Get the tires wet, roll forward then dump it hard in 2nd gear. They should spin freely till you roll out of it and they start to hook.
