Default so I was going to get a crankshaft

to put in brads old block. Then JS told me about his block and crank for sale, never made it down to see him about it. Then a buddy was going to sell me a shortblock 408, but I have to wait another month for that. So my bro showed a new ls6 long block on the intraweb for 2999 with some sensors and a pan.

I went from looking to spend 100 bucks of cours with machining, new pistons, gaskets blabla just around 1500,
same thing with JS block and crank 1800 then the forged short block 1800 now the longblock brand new ls6.

I think I'm going with the long block for 2999 with 250 shiping. Throw some nos at it and back where I started!

Anyone think the ls6 for 3250 is a good deal bad deal any sponsers local that can do better?

thats not bad for a brand new motor and the ls6 with the right tune will take 200 worth of spray all day long if its the newer rings.

It's not a bad deal but we get forged shortblocks for that price.

I'd go with a forged shortblock.

if your gonna spend 3000 might as well spend a tad more and get a forged motor then not worry about it like a stock block would. dont skimp just do it once and do it right a little more now is better than alot later

For 3600 or so you can get an SLP 402 which are nice motors.

Haha no problem, and yea def look into a forged shortblock. The ls6 is nice but if your going to spray on it id be weary of spending 3K for something that isnt forged. You can sell you stock shortblock too and put that money towards the new forged one.
