Gauging Interest: 79 Trans Am
Its been on my mind recently to sell my car. I love the thing but I dont have the time and money to give the car what it deserves. Its a 1979 Trans Am, red on red. Its got the 6.6 403 engine, 3 speed auto, and some steep highway gears in the rear end. Its got just under 74 thousand original miles. I have the build sheets, and you can tell the miles are true just by looking at the car. It runs like it did when it was new. All wear parts have been replaced, since this car has been my daily driver for going on 3 years now. Ive put just about 10 thousand miles on the car. With the little extra cash I do have, I put on some 17 inch Cragar wheels with Yokohama es100 tires. They have less than 500 miles on them, and look brand new. I also have a set of the stock snowflake wheels with all season tires that I use when the weather sucks. I also added a mandrel bent h-pipe dual exhaust with some Flowmaster 3 chambers. It sound nice and deep, without being too loud. On the interior I added a B&M ratchet shifter, and a nice Sony stereo. The car could use some help in the detail department. The paint is faded, and has some pinstripe work from the 70's on it. The interior is in decent shape, but the front drivers side seat has a tear, and some plastic panels are faded. Sorry for the long post, but I figured I would put out as much info as possible. She is a sweet driver, an attention getter, and she has been my baby for the last 3 years. Like I said, I dont have the time and money to restore the car, as I still have another 3 years of school left. I dont need to sell the car right now, but I am looking to see what kind of offers I get. I am open to all offers and trades. Feel free to post or PM any questions.
