Default Should I be faster

I ran at NED last night for the 1st time in over a year. I got a new personal best but I feel the car should turn better times.
My time last night was
12.541 @ 114.66
60' 1.894
1/8 8.179
I was running 16in MT et street radials@18 psi, and the mods in my sig( car weighs 3725 with me in it).
I got some wheel hop at launch and on the 1-2 shift, but less than with the 15 in MT et street bias plys i was using before, and they were a lot more stable on the top end.
there was another list member there with AFR heads and a slightly bigger cam and street tires running 12.7 with the exact same trap speed.

Do these times seem right, or is something up? i want to get things correct before I get the N2O system online

tracerx ran something like 11.6 with those mods. there is prob alot left in your driving. either take more time to learn or add more power.

something isnt right weater its the tune, heads, driver ect. 224 h/c should be trapping close to 120 even at 3700lbs

at 3650 i went 11.3 @ 122 and change with 420ish hp

work on the sixty and that will help im thinking it might be slow shifting too though with the lower mph

but if he cuts a 1.5x 60 ft.. he will run a low 12 with ease, prob. high 11.. that would be all I think with that car..

Keith your car was being timed to 1000 ft.. hahahaa

Eastside did the tune and I am shifting using a shiftlight set at 6400rpm. I know the autox suspension is not helping but i thought at least the mph should be higher.
And I know the driver needs a ton of work, I have way more HP that you can use on an autox course, buy feel underguned at the dragstrip.

Hi Bill, it's Mark. I thought your car/driving was better than mine, but I've certainly got some work to do on both! I think I need to shift earlier and I definitely need to get a tire on this thing (2.08 60'). Who can tow me home if the stock rear breaks?

...And how the heck does "daveredss" click off 12.2's with just a cam(TR224)?

Daveredss Ran a 12.2 at 117 last year with a 224 cam and stock heads. If I remember right his sixty ft time wasn"t that good at a 1.99.

With those heads you should definately be trapping higher than 114.

That's what I thought.

....I still think Dave's 12.2 was a nice run.

Dave could of had a 11 second run if he could've got his 60' time down. I offered to let him use my et streets but he didn't want to take a chance of blowing anything since he is still on a stock 10 bolt.

The suspension only affects the 60' and your looks ok or not horrible. Slow shifting or too much timing for the track could slow it down.

Daves car did fairly well with the good shifting he did.

ive be more concerned with the trap speed. ET is a traction/launch/driver thing where as the trap is the indication of the power of the car.

Better shifting, better 60" and less weight and you got a low 12 pass in there. How was the weather?

That mph could be a few better but with the weight of the car and weather conditions are going to weigh heavily, Who knows about the shifting, if you wanna go fast, you gotta power shift it.
