Default First Time Race @ Etown

Either this Wednesday or Friday, I am going to get into my Formula and race for the first time at Etown. Any advise?

In all honesty, youll get more runs in at pretty much any other track. At the same time E-Town is the best track in the area, and youll see the wildest cars running there. I personally run at Cecil, becuase I can get 9-15 passes in 1 night. Either way, like everybody said. First time is just that, a first time, so you basically have fun with it, and hope she's as fast as you think she is. Youll get a good reception, women always do

Thanks!

I have no idea what it will run. It's a bone stock LS1. I want to run it asap so that we can start some work on it. Then I can see how it has improved, or maybe how my racing skills may improve! lol

Advice:

Dont break it.

Expect the times to improve, its very hard to get your best run the 1st time, I've always been off at least 1/2 sec.

Just relax and practice, have fun.

Assuming its stock, it could be the low 13's if a auto, as for a manual it could be all over the place.

As everyone said have fun...with that said make sure to bring long pants and a helmet if you have one. You can rent a helmet there for a few bucks but I'm not into wearing a helmet a lot of other people have had their heads in. Get there as early to the gates opening as you can to get a couple quick runs in before the crowd shows up. I've had hit or miss experience with the crowds.

I'm not sure if you follow drag racing or have done it elsewhere before but I would not go through the waterbox since you are on street radials. Also, if you wish to spin the tires a bit before you run, do not spin them past the timing lights since they frown upon that during street nights. You may know all of this but if you don't its decent info.

Good luck and post the times when you get back.
