toyota is the land of the ticky tack little annoying defects, otherwise a good truck if you don't mind a few rattles. there is also that little thing about cams snapping in half to wonder about, most cases reported have been in V8 equiped vehicles, but a few of the 6bangers have suffered as well
I know several people who have Toyota Tacomas, with ***-loads of miles, and they are still tight and don't rattle. Been problem free as well. None of the six cylinder motors have the cam issue, that motor is bulletproof.
If you are buying a new truck, get the Toyota. The resale value is so stinking good that it makes no sense to buy a used one.
EDIT: Really dead thread:wall:
The new tundra, well its ugly and has had some quality issues. Cam issue aside, their 5.7 DOCH V8 is pretty awesome, 380 hp, 400lb-ft tq.
