Project Complete! (Pics)
Since then, I had the motor rebuilt (VT Engines) and installed (Valley Performance) and it's now better than when it rolled out of the showroom in 1998.
From the outside, it looks kinda stock- almost bone stock.
However- inside it has a forged rotating assembly- stroked out to the classic 5.0L
It also has a Ford Racing Cam Kit which changed all the valves and added some punch to it. Stock clutch was replaced with a Spec 2 which grabs but is street-friendly. It has a custom tune from VMP which was fine tuned by Valley Performance.
Both bumpercovers were refinished and some misc scratches and damage fixed by a local guy who worked out a deal for me. Weird thing but when I put a coat of Pinnacle Wax (good stuff!) on the car it made the new paint noticible where befor the wax it blended in. Nothings perfect, I guess.
All I have left is to clean the interior real nice and mount the 315 Nitto Drag radials and get out to the track.. maybe Weds for test & tune.
