Default Need more seat time

Well I went to NED on saturday with speedy and my buddie mark with his mustang. I was running on bfg street tires and figured I would do a little better than I did but not too bad overall. I just have to stop ***** footing it outta the hole. My best pass was 12.55 @117.79 with a 2.23 60'. The one time I tried to get aggressive on the lauch the tire broke loose and I went 13.0. Now the suck part is that this was on the bottle. There is no reason why the car cant do 12.5 on motor.

Did you try running without the bottle? Probably would have been more traction.

Too bad you didn't stay man.. the day had a few more runs! Check out my thread man and you'll see the results I left with!! I had a damn good day in the sun... and was glad to get the seat time. A little more and I will be consistant 11's!

When are you planning another trip up?

m6 and honest to good street tires will never yield a decent 60 foot, I wouldnt bother trying to practice on street tires. if your budget will allow, get at least Nitto's and I think you can be more consistent and have a lower 60 foot.

I have done well on street tires but it was a 383 LT1 with a auto, and the 60 foot was a 1.8. Just to give some perspective.

Sure will man. It won't be next weekend I have plans already... depending on what's going on and what's scheduled maybe the following Friday or Saturday!

Come on, just get a pair of ET Streets! It's only a ten bolt like my rear is only "weak" IRS. Then you can spray off the line and get things done!! It was funny, at the end of the day the older guy in the NBM Z28 asked to line up, I accepted whereas he was mid 12's all day as well. So we line up, and go.. I cut the 1.74 to his 1.94 60' and not knowing what he had under the hood... he pulls on me like two cars. I get the slip thinking it was a little closer but his trap speed was 121mph... right away I knew he had cheater gas!! He went 11.92 to my 12.29! Run whatcha brung right!! It was fun though! Found out later he was running like a 208/2xx 117LSA cam with 100 shot and Spec 3! Said the car in cold weather has gone 11.3's! He was using ET Streets as well.... food for thought!

Correction: an A3 would definately solve all that. It's just the drive home that won't be as much fun.

Leave the bottle at your house!!!!! There is no reason to have it yet since you've only been to the track 2 times in your life

What happened to the days that people ran NA stock cars till they got the driving down?Everybody shows up with the power thinking they will be fast but the driving needs alot of time to improve
