Default 10 bolt pwnage---***PICS ADDED***

Pics to be added shortly. Came out of a 1st gear slide around a turn stayed in it, slammed 2nd a hear clank clank clank. Get out and gear oil all over. Drive it home cause I was behind my house lol. Check the cover, and the cover has holes right where the gears are from lol. It was such a funny time because I've beaten the HELL out of that rear and it held until then.

Looking for a stock replacement, because I'm unable to afford a 9 inch lol. Need cheap rear ASAPs lol......4.10's or 373's lol

Ugh. That rear's been to the track like 4 separate times with over 425rwhp, hard launches and all, no problems and now you break it on the street?
Well ya knew it was coming, still sucks though.

Ah so that's what happened! Shitty. I was thinking that's what happened when the starters went to push the car and it didn't move!

And people have said the GTO IRS was weak!
The ten bolt in my 2000 Trans Am held a lot of punishment too though and withstood over 3000 miles of well over 400HP/400TQ before I wrecked the car.

Good luck getting them fixed quickly guys!

Nah, the GTO IRS is quite strong relatively speaking, they can take a lot of power, at least the automatics can.

As for the stock F-body 10 bolts, a lot of the damage often comes from driver error and/or abuse but if you're rowing a 6 speed manualand hitting it hard enough than it's days are often numbered regardless.
Automatics can live long though, mine has had drag radials mounted on the ends of it for 4 years straight now with over 100+ passes and a bunch of 1.6 and even a few 1.5 sixty foots behind it and it's still going strong.

Yeah... The GTO is a 6 speed and so was the Trans Am! This passed weekend I cut a few 1.7x 60's and one 1.64... I wonder how long it will keep taking it sometimes!

Mine took A LOT of abuse. The car goes WOT all the time so I beat on the rear quiet well. I'm sure the car didn't like going sideways at 100% throttle then coming into a straight then into a 1-2 shift.
