www.HPtuners.com is all you need to know. buy the software and be your own tuner. it is much easier to do than a lot of people make it sound and the HPT crew has plenty of ways to help with a million help files, forums on their site to discuss issues, an on-site tune dump so you can pick up a baseline tune for your combo, and their tech support via email will almost always get back to you with in 24 hours.

The sad part is about 40% of my tunes are for people that already have software like HP/EFI live. They couldn't figure it out or didn't want to take the time. Tuning software isn't for everyone.

well lets just say Fbody doesnt have such a good reputation in my neck of the woods... Brett tuned my car the first time and did a great job. they were running a great special back when i bought the tune... payed extra at the time for a LIFETIME tune. now when i call back, they ( the new partner) doesnt like the fact that i bought into this deal and complains when i tell them even though he doesnt like the idea, that they should still honor it. after complaining he says this will be the last time ill be able to use the lifetime tune (although since i bought the tune, ive never came back to use it a second time). they have horrible customer service....I.E. dropped my car off the lift, set a time for a vehicle to be complete, and its never even close....im talking a week plus late. like i said Brett is awesome and has to be one of the best at what he does, its just super hard to go back. its just not me, out of 30+ fbodys, vettes, and gtos in my area, all with mods, and not one of them will ever go back there

As far as I am aware the lifetime tune is still in effect. Though everything else I was unaware of. They have pretty good labor rates from what I've seen around shops by me.
Oh well I didn't know they had a bad rep in York. *shrugs*

i have hptuners, learned the program and tune my own car and i STILL take it to harris speed works for them to fine tune it, and when they put their cam in my car they tuned it. definetly worth it to have your own software, i use HPTUNERS all the time but without harris speed the car just straight out wouldn't run right. they fixed a few of my fuckups and nobody knows about the TIME you'll spend messing with the vehicle. on limited time and even less patience i just take it to them if i cannot figure things out.
kid you not i've devoted countless hours to research, test and tune, for everything from idle to drivability to wot. it takes a while to get it right and you can easily hurt the car or make the car slower if you don't spend the time and effort researching and tuning it in.

Brett is on the board here you can speak with him. I was told by Jason the only thing I have to pay for is the dyno time anytime the vehicle needs a retune. The first fee is the only one thats tuning related.
