There hasnt been any real "cracking down" on 37 in 6 years. Ive lived here and roamed on that road since I was 15. Im 24 now and not once has there ever been a stop where they are checking for cats, inspection stickers, anything. The cops come in to some places and tell people to leave. They sit on 37 with their radars on catching speeders... its been the same old story. I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt, this Saturday night, will be any different than any other Saturday night out on Route 37. Lets say they did hear about the meet - they would just make people leave. Toms River police has never been the harrassing type. That's Seaside, Pine Beach, Lavalette, Brick, yada.

Very true Tom...thats why I'm still going to be out, and I hope you are too. I've been thinking about it, and after people meet at Stop N Shop I say we just go to Staples, it's out of the way and I doubt we'll get bothered at all....I mean...it's just a thought...

The problem with Stop n Shop is that its KNOWN for being a meet spot, like Wawa. Wawa ALWAYS gets broken up, S&S doesnt. Sometimes, but not always. Staples.... never.

I've never heard of Saturday night being "cancelled" in Toms River...and I live there.
I've also never seen the cops inspecting cars in parking lots.
I wouldn't sweat it. If they chase you out, go somewhere else or to the bus depot.

Oh, and a little heads up for someone that thinks they know how that cops are in Toms River, a cop came into the parking lot around 9:45....and he didn't kick us out, didn't check for cats, didn't harass anyone....but said, and I'm going to quote him. "keep it clean, keep it quite, and don't do anything stupid and their wont be a problem"....no we stayed in Stop N Shop from 7:30 (I got there early) until 12:00, then two cops asked us to leave, then a hand full of people went to stop and shop. On another note, a whole lot of cars showed up, almost filled the lot...
