Damage Pics From Saturday Bender Is Back!
Last saturday i was trying out my new set up with the 28 Hooiser Drag Tires. It was a fun day missing gears and such. Ya know typical day. Pulling 1.47-1.49 60fts and pulling the tires a bit from what i heard. Well they said the lanes where closing so i did a large burnout and dumped the clutch at 6500 on spray. Well i guess there are limits to things. I broke my torque arm and made a twizzler out of my driveshaft.
Here are the pics
As i waited to the track truck to pull me off the track, he mention to me that maybe i should put more air in the tires. The car almost look like it was skipping/dead hooking. Which would cause this damage. After taking the DS and TA out, i notice that the torque arm bolts where not that tight. Which also could be the cuase.
Either way, new TA and DS will be here next week and ill be out racing and missing gears
If anyone wants to know the pass of the day was 10.62@129 1.48 60ft. 3615 car and drive weight.

I wonder if that was a cause / effect situation. The torque was enough to twist the driveshaft, which would pull the rear closer to the trans, and then snapped the torque arm. No matter how it happened, that's some badass carnage there. Is that just a standard steel driveshaft or is it a Denny's nitorus driveshaft? At least it didn't snap and damage the floor panel.
