Red face New best 60' today.

went racing today, first run on motor went 9.9 @ 136
then put the spray to it. ended up with a 1.27 60' (personal best for me, no limiter straps or bars, but ended up with this.

wow.... mental note, if you have a head crack, you weld it up and it cracks again, this is what's in store if you keep trying to use it! What else did it take with it when that happened... I can't imagine the engine bay's too pretty after that.

haha, mental note make more money so i could have bought new heads. lol
it took nothing but the gasket. everything else is fine.

it cracked in 2 spots this time either was what i welded..

With the way that looks in the photo it's hard to see, but I assume that happened when it was running yes? I could just see fuel/coolant/etc.etc. spraying all over the place making for a big mess.

Lucky it didn't take anything else with it, because that could have been alot worse.

Scrap alum, it's geting good $ these days, apparently you have a couple chunks that are about 40 lbs a piece or so LOL.

yes it was running, but it just sprayed a little water around, but i run water only so it cleaned right up.


yea im going to pull the springs and the valves and junk the heads.

BTW 1.27 60' You were on your well on your way to a new best. Too bad it didn't hold up past the 1/8th... It would have made for a good 1/2 a time slip

heres todays pic. it was about a 50 foot power wheelie, car was working. i made a few adjustment this week and it worked!

Hey Brad, i dont know if i met ya or not but your guys let me borrow a jack so i could put my et streets on. I finally got to see your car in person too unfortunatley it was right after the heads cracked and it was already parked. Good luck with it and thanks again!
