Default TH-400 is installed :)

Picked up the TH-400 friday night and had it installed right away. Just have to put the pedals in and I'm ready to hand out some shalackins. Its a B&M TH-400 with a Vig 4400 stall. Also came with a Spohn torque arm.

I also put in 4:10s, new posi, and a TA girdle at the same time. That all came with the car when I bought it. I'm hoping the 10 bolt lasts a few months, if not ill be putting in either a 9" or Dana rearend.

Now all I need is some more power and 10s here I come

Marco

Not yet. Because I haven't converted the valve body to a RMVB.

How did you hook up the neutral safety switch???

That will be a blast to drive on the street for sure, highway will get a little old afer a while, but I assume you'll be trailering it to the track anyway, so it's no biggie.

I hope you put an sfi flywheel and a shield on when you put it in, be a pita to have to drop it to change that stuff or get the #'s off it if you didn't remember to write them down (like I did )

Get one, tech will ask (eventually) and god forbid anything bad ever happen and you need it.

I've seen what happens when one comes apart, it's not pretty. CSR makes a carbon fiber one that fits real good and doesn't rub the floor at all, there's one on my car.

Nice crazy, you'll have to post up it's street driving manners. I'm sure it will be quite the beast though, even at you're hp levels. Kiss that rear goodbye, especially with the 4.10's.

You're doing it right though. build the car up 1st to take the power you're gonna throw at it.

A TH400 is not much of a street racing car, a stick with the same power will probably put a hurting on you or any auto for that matter. Unless you get em' from a dig

Besides we know you would never street race.

You can't beat an auto on the street. They hook so much better than a stick, and they never miss a gear

Switched mine from M6 to an ATI TH400 this past summer. It'll be a blast man! I've run a 10.9 so far with the 3800 stall in there. Looks like the season's over now but I'm sure I'll get that down next spring.

what shifter did you use?
depending what shifter you used will depend on how to get the safty to work.

the hurst and band m come with a switch on then and you just wire threw the ignition. if its stock in an m6 car you will probably have to install a WOT switch the cheep switch and mount it to the car near the shifter and weld a little tab on the shifter so it hits the switch.

the 400 on the street is fun as hell, and from a roll with the right stall its like dumping the clutch!!!! they are sweet all around even on the highway they are not that bad, just have to run around 60-70 mph cruzin.

I'm running the stock shifter right now, but i'm ordering a Hurst pistol grip quarter stick as soon as I do the RMVB/T-brake.

I can't wait to drive the car, should be driving it on Wesnesday
