Nothing out of the ordinary. I will keep cam specs to myself though. It is very difficult to properly match a cam to a particular set-up. So many variables involved, I am tired of making it easy for other people. There is so much that I have learned in that department and I am going to apply it with this motor. I have about 70% of the combination nailed down. Just have to get Mike to start ordering **** so I can atleast get the shortblock started. Just going to take my time and do it right.

You could when I went through...although I was in Orlando for A school and power school. Each command is different though. I know some people that were in Charleston...I'll ask tomorrow. On a side note, if they offer to send you to Balston Spa, NY for prototype...take it. Its actually run as a joint civilian / DoD facility and is a bit more relaxed than working on a navy base everday.

yup, did my 6 and got out. I had a pretty good time when I was in...no regrets. Plus, it helped me land a job out here pretty quick.

Yeah, that's a lie. If you are willing to live out in the middle of nowhere and work rotating shifts in a nuke plant with no career path you can get close. Quality of life is more important to me though.

I enjoyed my time as a nuke mm. You do have to get used to constant oversight and testing though. Also, being one of the last to leave the ship in port and the first to report back.

It depends on your chain of command but in general you won't have to deal with nearly as much of the "millitary" stuff as a nuke.

Nuke MM A school is ridiculously easy, power school and prototype are tough to get through. A school is where they teach you the basics...pumps, valves, air compressors, and intro to turbine theory. Power school is college level math, physics, chemistry, nuclear theory, heat transfer, fluid flow, etc. Prototype is 50% studying and 50% learning how to stand watch in an operating plant. I had plenty of time to have fun while in the pipeline.
