Default Philly Area Shops

Hey everybody just moved here from Ohio, I was recommended to this site from LS2GTO.COM...I've been looking around the area (philly) for a cam swap in my GTO. I'm real finicky with my car so I want to get some feedback on some local shops (within 30 minutes), sorry but I don't want the car away too far. Maybe if I could get some real life feedback from you guys, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I'de give Mike @ Rapidmorotsports.com a call. He's a little more than half an hour away if you actually in the city, but well worth the trip. Right off Rt442 in Exeter (between Reading and Pottstown)

Welcome to the area,

Mike

Definitly check out Harris Speed Works. Nick and Matt will hook you up with a great price and they do incredible work. they have a gorgeous facility in a great area and have their own in house dyno. They schedule very well and will have your car in and out with minimal down time. they are always willing to go the extra mile for you as well.

Fran did a cam swap in my car (Race Proven Motorsports) and did an amazing job. Got the car back and it put down 426/394 cam only stock heads. Great guy to deal with

To me with either shop you can't go wrong. They all specialize in LS based performance. IMO if you were looking at a strictly n20 setup, HSW would be the bet, but then again Fran has built some pretty SICK nitrous cars too. Fran at RPM is my choice, and will be because I've dealt with him before, and his work is TOP notch imo. Great guy, great work, reasonable price. Pick up the phone and shoot him a call, you won't be disappointed

TTLS2,

I invite you up to see our facility and chat via PM, AOL, etc. with some of our previous customers if you have any doubt in our workmanship. While here I can show you around our in house dyno, chat with Matt about any tuning issues as well as see the three large cubic inch nitrous motors being assembled, Rick's 402 LS2 twin turbo build and the shop's C6 procharger build. A lot of our nitrous installs are pictured in our user gallery here just to give you an idea of the attention to detail that goes into each install and I can assure you that your car will recieve the same attention.

Thanks,
Nick

Wow,

That is pretty cool, I was at your shop when he dropped that off to get the cam and now I can hear it run...

Oh yeah, and I would recommend Fran's shop (RPM) as well...

I would only recommend taking your car to Harris Speed Works. They are the only ones to ever touch my car and seeing some of the other local shops around this areas work i would never go anywhere else. I am very picky with my car and there fit, finish and quality always meets my liking. I love that all dyno service is done in house so if there ever is a problem you dont have to wait for the out of house tuner. My car is a daily driver and i have never had one issue with any of there work, products or tuning. Good Luck with your choice and hope all works out well for you.....
