Congratz on the time, but its too be expected. A automatic car, good air and good track prep will lead to great times, it doesnt make enough power to overpower the stock rubber given the awesome track prep and cold enough air to pull out a decent mph.
Now you have a nice baseline for when you go in the summer and see how much heat and bad air can effect the car.

Awesome numbers dude, needless to say I was both shocked and quite pleased by the news of that phone call Saturday.
Automatic Z28s rock.
This is very true, I chopped off over a full second (from when my Z28 was just a lid/Hypertech/thermostat car) with just bolt ons and still with stock 3.23s as well.
Kenny knows about doing the more simple mods, he put that Formula into the 11s with a small cam/bolt ons back in the day as well. I sort of tried to mimic that car when doing my bolt on build up using long tubes and an LS6 intake manifold to try and make up for his mild cam/Macs/LS1 intake combo.

Thats definately some good driving. I meant to ask you about suspension BTW. From what I read the shocks are the major problem with the fbodies. I still want the car to be able to 60 ft, what can I do to improve the handling a bit?

Throw some tires on your car and a LOT of gear and you'll get it running well.
Their is no glory in stab-n-steering but thats just fine with me.

I've looked over this car pretty well. Everything looks 100% original. The guy even gave me the window sticker and the 2002 camaro brochure he got with the car.

It sure is nice seeing how the prices of LS1 parts have come down. I never felt the Formula ran as well as it should at the very end, then again I never got anything more then a generic mail-order tune for it either. Your car runs incredibly well, just let me know if you want to sell any of those bolt-ons!!

Nice so you got yourself the car, I remeber the thread u had goin askin about any locals to check the car out for ya. Hands down, pick up some Strano Springs/Koni shocks/Adjustable Panhard rod..that will run ya a lil over a $1,000 and the Shocks have a lifetime warranty so it's the last shock u'll have to put on the car, Oh and the handling is amazing and the car rides much smoother than stock
If ya got the $$ go and get his 35/22mm sway bar combo
(Pic taken from UMI. Performance. They are now selling Strano Products aswell)

Nice Kenny. I liked that track, the prep was awesome (Good enough I ripped out 35 splines of an aluminum spool). The TTP crew will be at Rockingham the weekend of the 18th stop by and say hello. Probably Darlington for Saturday unless rockingham is running a saturday program again..
Nice, I'll try to stop by if possible. I definately can't complain about the track prep as the day went on!!

If I go with the Sam Strano lowering springs with the Konis, will the car still 60 ft?? I also don't want a punishing ride. I may actually do the suspension before I add power. I'm not really going to get caught up in ETs with this car, I just want it to be fun to drive.
Scott, I was only in your car for a couple laps at the Meadowlands and it freaked me out. I could not believe how well it handled and it didn't ride stiffly. I would love a set-up like what you had if it would allow for a decent 60 ft.

Make that 2002 Z28's...
Kenny BTW I have an extra GSC which has about 10 miles on it if you need it?
Contact LS1LT1 if you want it.
You may need it down the road and they are very expensive brand new. (it was an extra from a Z28)
Passenger side I think?
Congrats on the killer times.
