It'll be ready tomorrow. Almost time to put it all back together. I think I've put over 40 hours into polishing, painting, etc. while everything was out. Pretty good time.

I'll let him post the details. The stock block is being re-used bored to 3.908 I think it was, the damage to the wall was .007 deep. He's getting forged pistons/rods, diamond and scat I think, new bearings, lifters, etc. Golen is doing the work.

Zturd, about 2 afternoons w/ 3 guys to separate.

Yup, 3.908" bore barely took care of the damage fortunately. Forged Mahle pistons 10:1 comp, forged Scat rods w/ARP bolts, ARP head bolts, new bearings, gaskets, LS7 lifters, 3 angle valve job + touch up w/newer LS2 valves. I'm reusing the crank, custom cam, newer LS2 timing chain and upgraded oil pump. I'm not trying for crazy #'s so I don't see the need to throw too much money at it. Plus I've got a Tex OZ700 Z grip going in. Still no traction though with the Michelin PS's.... I'll have to upgrade by July when I'm due for a new sticker.

new blocks are fairly cheap, why skimp out there and thin out the walls on a boosted car?

If I planned on boosting 10+ #'s then I would've gone a completely different direction. I'm planning on keeping it around 6-7#'s with my 500whp goal. If I wanted 600whp then a LS2 block would've been used for sure. I'm trying to keep it to a reasonable budget is all. We've got other expensive hobbies to throw away money on....damn horses

Powertrain went back in yesterday. Still plenty of things to hook back up today but at least the hardest part is complete. It actually went together pretty well.
