In the 9's.....too!!
Ran a few 9.6's today at the QTP event.
Best et was 9.62@138mph
Also ran a best 60' of 1.29
Big thanks to everyone that helped out with the car:
The guys at Cartek-Julio for building me a GREAT motor
Roy, Mike, Rich and Tim-Max and Julian as well for helping things along
Caroll's Rod And Racecraft-Leo and Bobby for helping me with the suspension.
Huge thanks to Rick for his work on the car and for lending me his pants.
Barry for some key parts.
My brother J. and everyone else I left out.
Had a great day at a great event that's getting better and better.

Mark, your car impressed the hell outta me yesterday, mid 9s at over 138 with a hydraulic cam and a semi restrictive factory intake manifold and it's not even done yet, still a little more in it, awesome.
It took months of persuasion and trying but yes ya finally got into Rick's pants.

Nice job Mark. Glad to be a part of such an impressive ride. Hope you can remember what that red button is for next time. That half track head start was funny as hell!!!!!!!

Thanks for the props guys!
Funny part of yesterday, besides me screwing up the final , was the Etown staff getting all pissed off because I didn't have the gear or a liscence to run those #'s.
First the guy at the booth tells me I need fire pants and gloves, guess my jeans weren't good enough, hehe.
Then another guy under the tower tells me I need a neck brace.
Then after another 9 sec pass, this pass was on a 1.29 60' an Etown truck actually cuts me off going down the return road and comes and asks me if I have a liscence. I said no and he just shook his head and walked away.
Then as if that wasn't enough another guy tracks me down in the pits and demands to see my tech card. He said and I quote "who the f*ck teched you in?? AHHH sh*t is was ME" hahaha
I told the guy that the staff keeps telling me to get more gear, which I did everything they said but you guys keep getting mad at me, haha.
Just tell me I can't race, no big deal, I understand. It all worked out in the end, they were pretty cool about the whole thing after Barry and I spoke with them.
