honestly... they SUCK.... not too many tips... just have fun... get a stage 8 locking bolt b/c the heads are smaller.. with a normal bolt you wont be able to get a wrench on it..

DS headers goes in best from the top, PS from the bottom. Use good gaskets, if you have stock heads the deadsoft gaskets hold up better then the paper. If you use Felpro or simular paper gaskets spray then with coppercoat to add a bit of strength. After the headers are installed do a few 3-4 heat cycles and retighten the bolts to avoid blowing out the gaskets. ( yes is sucks taking the alternator off, but the ends of some of the gaskets are thin and that is where they normally blow out. )

The biggest PITA is getting the ERG tube back onto the Pass header!

Make sure the plug wires are far away from the headers too!

My LTs weren't bad on my 94. I had to let the starter hang temporarily (not completely) to get the header in from underneath. You gotta jack the car up pretty high to do so, not too difficult. The DS header went in like it was covered in butter.

Change the plugs and wires at the same time. I broke a few plugs getting the manifolds off. It put my mind at ease when I knowing they'd be replaced with something better (NGK dumdumdum!).

Im sure shorties will be easier.

Its a customers car so Im just doing it to get paid. i got started on this late today so its not done yet. I started on the drivers side, and everything was going ok untill I got to the second to last bolt nearest to the firewall. Almost impossible to get a wrench or anything else on it. oh well to be continued tomorow!

I had to modify both a wrench and socket with a bench grinder in order for me to remove and install those bolts. The wrench was cut completely in half as well. I still have both tools as a "trophy"
