Default what would you pay for a 98 WS6?

What would you pay for a 98 WS6 with 88,000 miles? The car appears to be in really good condition, if not near mint. It's an A4 with a Borla catback and chrome ZR1's. T-tops, gray leather, monsoon, yada yada....nothing out of the ordinary.

The guy is asking $10,000...seems a little high to me. I just was wondering what a fair offer would be. KBB says $8600 for excellent condition, that seem about right?

You can find a better deal than that. Depending on how particular and if you are willing to travel a bit, I'd expand your search.

FBody prices are all over the place, patience is the key.

I've been looking for a while now. It seems like there aren't that many ls1's for sale around here and they are either piles or just out of my price range. The 6 speed 99 and up cars are holding their value really well for the time being and all of the deals are usually too far away.

I have a '98 Ws6, its a 6speed with 73k miles. If I was going to sell it today, I would also ask $10k.... That car your looking at being an auto I would say is probably worth a little less.

its hard to say, $10k isnt a bad price if the car is in really good condition, its not a steal by any means as there are alot of them out there that you can grab but usually have alot more miles on them
i was looking at a white 99 ws6 with a borla other than that the car was 100% stock owned by a woman and she kept it mint she wanted $13k but i was gonna offer her $9k but then she made the comment, "i think my BF knows you , dont you have one of these cars already?" i was like yea i do and then didnt make a offer,

Get it, yea its abouve KBB, but if you trying to be cheap and spend 7-8grand on another car, once you get it, you may have to put a few grand into it, just to make it run to how you would like it. Sometimes if you be cheap you get cheap things. Im sure if the guy is asking 10grand the car has and is well maintened and the guy wont let it go until the right person with the right money comes along. We all sit around looking for that great deal to come along, but its so rare to find that to good to be true deal, which makes it just to good to be true to find an awsome dea. Final answer spend the money and you will get what you want.

Rockitman, thanks but no thanks. I'm just not into the convertibles. Nice car though, I saw some pictures in past threads.

Yeah, I was thinking more like $8k but I didn't know if that was too much of a low ball offer. It's hard to believe most of these cars are almost 10 years old by now. There just don't seem to be that many LS1 cars for sale around here making the deals harder to find. The Connecticut car scene is getting weaker and weaker. I don't know if it's because of the emissions or the gas prices but it sucks regardless.

If anyone knows of any LS1's not on this board (preferably t-tops and 6 speed) please PM me. I'm sick of wasting my time to go look at junk.

I think 10K might be a bit high going by some of the deals on LS1tech's classified section. I think around $9k-9500 is an average to decent deal.
