Couple killed in central Mass. crash identified
WEST BOYLSTON, Mass. -- State police have identified the Princeton couple killed in a highway crash in central Massachusetts.
Authorities said 39-year-old Todd Marsh was driving the Dodge Viper that went out of control Sunday night on Rt. 190 in West Boylston. The vehicle struck a jersey barrier, then careened across the roadway and slammed into a guardrail.
Marsh and his wife, 40-year-old Michelle Marsh, were pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement, police said the car was following another vehicle at the time of the crash. They are asking anyone who might know who was driving the other vehicle to contact the state police.
The MetroWest Daily News reports that the couple was the parents of three children and that Todd Marsh owned a construction firm in Princeton.

One of the articles said they weren't wearing seat belts - not sure it would have changed the outcome. I really feel bad for their three kids.

This is horrible My prayers go out to their kids and family. We all make mistakes and any of those mistakes can cause a life. Hopefully they were having a good time at the time they passed away. Very tragic ending...Atleast no one else was hurt in the accident.

This is a very tragic event and I as well feel for the loss those children are going through.
My opinion about this if it was street racing or excessive speed. When you have children, you live for them. It's the parents responsbility not to do life endangering stuff purposely, when it's not just their lives they are affecting. Never mind anybody else on the road.
I love racing, but the street is not the place.

I go by the accident scene at least once every day...some bad bumps, washboard, rough surface very near there on that stretch of highway...they were less than 1 mile from their Princeton/Rt. 140 exit...did not know the couple, but they were well known at a restaurant I frequent regularly on Friday nites in Princeton, Ma., called the Mountain Barn. They were well-liked and popular in the town of Princeton. He owned a construction business and they owned another business in Hudson, Ma. I was told....They're (state police) looking for another car that was involved, but didn't stop after the crash. A very sad situation, indeed...way too young to leave their families, especially that brutally.... WJ

I'd not realized 190 had gotten that bad. When I was in high school in the early 90's the 190 I remember was smooth as silk and almost always empty and I'd driven on it at high speeds in my teens. So I could see how someone in there late 30's could forget it's not the same road etc...
I've not felt the urge to see how fast my T/A will go but up until reading this 190 would have been the local road of choice if I'd wanted to find out.
Take it easy

Parts of 190 from West Boylston to Rt.2 in Leominster really suck...bumps, frostheaves that don't go away, washboard areas, etc. It's been established that the Viper was speeding for sure, but it hasn't been established that they were racing the missing other car. Look, alot of people in the central Ma./Wachusett region are really hurting over this accident. These folks had many friends and family in this area...the guy was a youth baseball coach, etc. It could happen to anyone here. I think people should just leave it alone, like Purevil previously said. The State Police will get the whole story, and you may, or may not, hear it.... WJ

Police ask for help in driver ID
