SOOO close to 150mph with the 100 shot!!

ended up going 1.49.88 today with the 100 shot just couldnt touch that 150 mark.
i had a traction issue today made a run and spun bad 1.58 60' then i made a couple suspention changes and went 1.43 thats when i went the 149.88 mph won first round made a couple more small changes so i know for sure i would have picked up from the 60' but got rained out right befor i ran. so it sucked, but oh well.
those are last years tires with a good 30-40 passes on them, so im going to get tires this week and see what happens this weekend

Wow you are def hauling ***! BTW from your sig it says 148MPH on the 200 shot, what changes have you made to your setup to hit almost 150mph on only a 100 shot?

yea, last year with the 200 shot i went 8.9 @ 148+ over the winter i did new headers and a set of new bigger/better heads and the car picked up huge. i gained 3 tenths on motor and like 5 mph on motor.

yea, that and the track was off a tad today alot of cars where having issues. i'll have new tires for next weekend

I KNOW, MY CAR HASNT RUN SLOWER THEN A 1.3X IN 4 YEARS. TRACK WAS OFF A BIT, AND THE TIRES ARE OLD WITH A TON OF PASSES. ORDERED NEW RUBBER TODAY, I WILL BE GOOD TO GO THIS WEEKEND.

it should run well on the 200 shot. its more set up for 200-300 worth of spray for the converter to work its best.
we'll see

Actually my car wasn't running yesterday. I went up to see my friend run his 79 bird. It was the black one with the flames on the nose and roof. His car was running 9.50's with a wasted converter. I will be there next sunday with my car(it's red). Hope to see you there.
